DVD Shrink HELP!! PLS!!

Hi... I'm kinda a newbie at this. I got a Dual DVD RW drive, I've tried to backup some dvd into a dvd-r (4.7GB) using DVD Shrink, It would copy all files to my HDD and then burn into the dvd-r using Nero v6, but once it finished and I try to play it on my dvd player won't play(my dvd plays dvd-r), and it won't even play on my PC. I've waste lots of dvd-rs If anyone can help me please, I'll really apreciate your help. Thank you all.

What brand of dvd-r are you using? Cheap media seems to be the most common problem.

mi dvd rw is a I/O Magic 4x dual. My dvd-r media is princo or something like that

princo sucks, get ritekG04(newegg has 'em for .59 ea. rite now with free shipping) or verbatim. I would get a rw disc you can rewrite to til you get it down pat. I don't necessarily think it's a media problem, it could be your procedure. What are you doing exactly and do you have Nero ultra 6 or trial version? A little more info please.

ok I only shrink the DVD and burn the files to my HDD, then I use Nero v6 (not trial) to burn the files into a dvd-r. That's it, I think it has to do more with configuration of the DVD Shrink. I think the media is ok, bcuz I've made some backups of my movies and works ok, is just the DVD Shrink.

Say what you will, your media sucks, it could work rite now, then 6 months down the road, not work. One batch could work fine, then the next not work at all, and still be the same brand. Just because u used them once doesn't mean jack squat. Now that's out of the way, Are you using shrink to auto burn in nero or are you opening nero and adding the files yourself? Are you re-authoring in shrink, customizing compresssion or is everything auto? You say you've made successful backups before, how did you do it then?
