I have used DVD Shrink for almost 12 months and have been able to back up all of my DVD's (old and new)When trying to back up H.P. and the Chamber Of Secrets I get a message "Data error cyclic redundancy error" when copying to to hhd.

I then tried DVD Decrypter and also get an error of "Interpretation: L-EC Uncorrectable error". (Also tried to read/write as a ISO file - stiil no good.)

The original DVD plays fine with no obvious problems.

Any solutions / thoughts / help greatfully received.

Sounds like a bum disc from the factory. Players tend to ignore small bits of corrupt data but you get problems when trying to extract the data in a PC. If the disc is new I'd return it for a new one :)
