The very first thing that you HAVE to sink into your heads is that there are actually 2 LANGUAGES BEING SPOKEN in legal proceedings. In America we speak English but there is also the language lawyers use called LEGALESE. It looks like English, with some Latin thrown in, but the definitions have been rewritten to mean something different.
Also People need to understand basic concepts of law, such as:
If there is no injured party there can be no crime. You have a right to confront your accuser (the person whom you supposedly caused harm to their life, limb, or property). Governments will pass laws that are unlawful. Most of the time they don't have jurisdiction. This is how I beat driving without a license. In the USA a license is required to 'drive'. The term 'drive' actually only applies to those involved in commercial activity. If you are using your own personal vehicle you are actually not a 'driver', at least not in the legal sense. So therefore the court does not have jurisdiction over me in this issue since I was not participating in 'Commercial Activity". Its actually quite simple.
As for this guys predicament he needs to stand on the jurisdictional issues.
