Hi All,

I am having trouble backing up a DVD on my XP machine. I have installed DVD-Shrink 3.1.7 on my XP and when I do "Backup", I don't see an option of creating the Video&Audio Files, so only video files are backed up.. I have no problem doing it on my Win2000 where it asks me if i want to create those folders. Sorry..but am I missing something?

When I use Shrink ... it will create one video_ts file w/ 2 files inside(1 audio_ts and 1 video_ts). The audio_ts file is empty.

so does that mean..
when I creat a DVD using Nero 6..
i have to drag and drop and video/audio file to its own place?

how come I got a version of DVD-Shrink that can create both directories for me..
and all I do is drag and drop those folders..
hmn..

Yea, when burning with Nero ... just use the video_ts folder.

so..
just drag and drop everything from the video folder that Dvd-Shrink creates..to the Nero video folder?
but what about audio? I tried that once..and no sound though... how come? how come? and why the version of DVD Shrink on my win2k..got the option of creating audio and video folders?

No need to ask "how come" twice ... make you seem demanding. When using Shrink are you re-authoring or unchecking any audio selections?

Hello. :)

peanutjim, simply copy/drag the content of the VIDEO_TS folder created by DVD Shrink, inside the VIDEO_TS folder presented by Nero.
It is normal for the AUDIO_TS folder to be empty.
As far as I know it is only used for DVD-Audio discs, and is included to increase backup compatibility with some set-top players. ;)

This guide was made with Nero v5.5 but the principle illustrated is the same with v6.

thanks guys..
I will try it again.
the reason why i asked = because I see two different things from the same program ( DVD Shrink ).
One offers the option to create both folders, while the other one doesn't.
I will try both member's suggestion and will come back and update the results.
