Sony's PlayStation Europe twitter feed is promising another update to the console to address an issue with a recent pulled update that disabled a number of PS3 consoles. Some unlucky PS3 owners who applied the recent 4.45 update found that their console now just hangs on start-up. How does that affect the PS3s that now hang, do they get shafted???


Its a lot easier being righteous than right.

As long as people can still get to the recovery menu (which they should) they can install the fixed update from there.

Now, if only they would speed up the bloody PS Store... updates ALL the time and as fast as a wet weekend. My old craptop is way faster.

will the update cause the video not to work in normal mode but work in safe mode ? all I get is a black screen with a few colored dots now. though the machine is about 3 or four years old it still worked.

could try a video settings reset? Hold the power button on from standby till it beeps twice. or just try and see if you can get into the recovery menu, as if that still works then you can install the next update when its fixec
