DVD Shrink - Copy Protection Error???

I've been using DVD Shrink for quite some time now and with no problems whatsoever. But the other day when I was using the program I recieved this message when I tried to open a disk:

Failed to read file G:
Copy Protection Error - The read failed because the sector is encrypted.

So I tried using DVD Decryptor to get what I wanted but after it finished and I tried to import the files to DVD Shrink I got another message:

The system cannot find the specified file.
Whats going on here?

Did you rip your movie using the "Files" mode in Decrypter?

Are you using the latest version of shrink?. Have you tried running these ripped files through a software DVD player. I am sorry to mess you about, but this problem has me scratching my head here.

Apologies, I just updated my post as you posted. I am going to have a look round the net for a while. If I find anything I will report back. This is a very strange problem.

Some users on this forum use a little app called DVD43 (1.4)(free). It runs in the background to defeat the copy protection, eliminating the need to use decrypter or similar rippers. You may want to try that.

i downloaded that program you told me about, installed it, and rebooted my computer. then i tried opening the program and got this message:
Status cannot connect to access layer. Patin-Couffin must be installed and active.
