Hundreds of Xbox One users: Our disc drives don't work

According to Kotaku, there are at least hundreds, if not thousands of new Xbox One owners whose disc drives simply don't work.
Microsoft does not have any response other than to contact customer service.
Angry customers have begun calling the drive the "Disc Drive of Doom," as it does not read discs and produces a loud grinding noise when optical media is inserted.

I'm pretty sure the it will be a similar picture in Oz. People needing replacements will probably get one from the shop they bought it at... they'll have to wait till more stock comes in if they're sold out... or get a refund.
A mate of mine bought an xbone, he's had no trouble as far as I know.

Not really, we speak a bastardized version of English called Newfie-speak eh and we can't read very well so we have screen reading software to read to us. We only type in English so you others can understand us...what do you expect when Canadian schools are all just large Igloos and it's below freezing for 11 1/2 months out of the year...

Whenever we would do a fly-in up in the great white it wouldn't take long to get the Canadian-isms down really loved those trips.

It is better to wait for 6 months before getting a new console.
So you have more games and most issues are fixed by then.
