Can anybody tell me why when I play back a copy on my home dvd player made w/ dvd shrink it sometimes pauses but the same movie on the same media made w/ dvdxcopy xpress plays back just fine. All settings and variables on my pc are the same. The only difference being that my version of xpress will copy only the movie as w/ dvd shrink I'm copying the entire disc. I use deep analysis and nero. I'm just about to the point where I'll use dvd shrink only when the movie is a double sided dvd and use xpress for everything else. Thanks in advance. Any advice will be appreciated.

This is most likely the reason. The more you compress a movie the more chance you'll have for playback problems even though you use the Deep Analysis feature. There are certain limits to how much you can compress a movie and expect quality results.
Your particular player may have something to do with it by having trouble reading the heavily compressed discs and using low quality media can reduce compatibility as well especially when compression is involved.
