i am totally new to dvd burning. i have tried copying several dvd's but encountered problems. i downloaded dvd shrink 3.2 but when i open it, the boxes analyisis and back up aren't highlighted so i cant use it. i tried to open files and open disc and it made my comp freeze every time.
any ideas cos i'm now getting a little peed off.

Edit > Preferences... > Preview tab > Un-check Enable video and audio preview.

See if you can Open Disc after the preview has been disabled. If you can Open Disc then try enabling the preview and try the different DirectX video renderer options.

tx veblin. i unticked wot u said.i pressed open disc and got both analisis and back up boxes highlighted but when i went to tick preview box again comp froze

Veblin...found by re authoring i managed 2
( HOPEFULLY ) sort it..........i set start and end frames.....then it kicked off ok..if i need any more help i will b sure 2 contact u my friend..and once again tx for your input

spoke 2 friggin soon.....managed to use shrink ok.....tried to burn the files using Nero 6.......got message 'unexpected file format'....and Nero wont burn.

Did you try any of the other DirectX renderer options?
Have you updated your DirectX?

I am not sure about the unexpected file format error.
Is your Nero up to date?
http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php
Package 1 and 2 are needed.
Package 3 is not needed or recommended.
Package 4,5,6 if you want them.

Do you have DVD Decrypter?

Have you tried to use that to burn?

sorry its been a while since i last posted. i have finally sorted things out. it just takes a while to copy a dvd because i am using a burner on usb port. have found odd problems but basically i seem to be doing ok. thanks for all your help.
