Hey, need some advice, had a starview with nthell when it packed up bit the bullet and got sly. what options do i have now. will a dreambox let me c.sharE or does the dreambox only worl wit nthell. been searching on google but am banging me head against a very large wall.

HI you In Ireland ! if so you need a Dreambox 500t well in the Kilkenny area you need to flash a image to the DB , I use dream up got my friends dreambox backed up the image on his one and then copyed to my DB sorted
Hi I'm Thinking of getting a dream box 500c will it work with cable ntl/chorus in Ireland

ho all
I want to delete some channels off the box. I try to do this
with the menu but the deleted channel reappears later. Likewise, if I try and set the parental lock on a channel it seems to go off it after some time as well.
What am I doing wrong ?.
I would appreciate any help on this.

Hey guys a friend of mine asked me to set up his new dreambox when I went to his house I saw ch$&us have a box running from the hole in the wall to the tv this is so he can get just the basic channels but it seems impossible to get it to connect to the dreambox do I have to run a wire from this box to the dreambox and then to the tv? Anyone any ideas as it has my head wrecked I have never seen one of these boxes from cho$us before was wondering if any of ye seen or heard of how to sort this or is it an impossible task thanks!!

I have heard that nagra3 hasn't been cracked yet.
I think it might be the end of the line for the time being anyway.
It is disapointing, I had hoped we would get a little bit of time from the latest fix. But alas it's not to be!

We can not give up hope. There is a hell of a lot of money to be lost here by suppliers of boxes and believe me they will go to great lengths to ensure they do not go out of business. I for one believe this will not be permanent. There has been great work done by many on this site over the past few years who in turn helped all of us , to them I say a big thank you. cgscott for one got my box and many others up and running when all hope seemed lost. Chris if your out there any help or advice would be much appreciated. Keep the faith we will be back.

hey,
anyone in cork having problems with their 500c locking up?
Everyone I know with them is having this problem- if you leave it on one channel its perfect, if you start channel hopping, it will lock up and you will need to pull the plug on it.
Its so ennoying. Im using the DK image from this time last year.

Looks like the dreaded n3 has made it's way to cho&us in Kildare. My channels have been dropping like flies in the last hour doh :(

Why you still looking for codes. I assume you are in Liverpool. Therefor you should have a AU fix running on your boxes.

hey managed to sort it out in the end used an older image, but now a bit of an annoying one for you, on some movie channels i get a running commentry of whats happening, on me starview i have an audio option an sorted it but on the dm500c i cant find anything, any ideas? kind regards mike.

There is a solution.
Buy a dreambox Sat version. Get a motorized dish and set up card sharing.
Then you will get the channels back.
This is the only way forward for people in Ireland now.
