does anyone know if n2 is being used in cork?
if so can we use the temporary n2 fix?
i tried and failed, so either i did it wrong, or there is no n2 stream.
on a different note, anyone used a n3 card in a 500c as a server?

Hi,
Can someone PM what i need to do to get my Channels back on my Dreambox 500S please as I only have a couple channels at the moment.

They're not archived (compressed) are they ?
You say they look like iso files lol. Have you got an iso program installed on your system.
Make sure the extension name is .IMG
As long as this is correct they will be fine.
ISO programs such as poeweriso etc see use .IMG files as well so im assuming this is what you are seeing.
Just check the file extension

as N3 has been rolled out and all the channels are gone on dreambox 500c in cork, is there another system out there to view the channels?
i would be wary of hackers by using c@rd sh@reing though

Guys im sick of hearing about card sharing and that, N3 is out a couple of years now in Spain, Amarica and Canada, it hasnt been broke there and looking like it not going to be for some while, card sharing will work and its gona be hard for Cor"s/NThell to track ur IP when most ISP's have dynamic IP so ur IP addres changes every couple of hours, besides only the person sharing the card will be in trouble,
I just p"ssed that we keep seeing the same Q's ask by ppl who dont bother to investigate before posting

Flybot, If i wanted to set up a card sharing network for myself and my family in 4 different houses. Would you be able to help me/tell me how/advise me what in need/give me the honest pros and cons?
Oh and just because this is a dm500 thread I have a dm500 and the same problems as everyone else which is why i am investigating card sharing. ;)

Hey mark,
I've never used card sharing before, but i have read up on it and i undstand networking,
what u'll need is a box as the server as in the box with the card, im sure if u look there's a firmware out there what will let your DM500 box be a Card server, then all the other box's will connected to ur IP!!
There's plenty info online to do this,
Maybe i can use ur card haha

as far as I know. No body has been able to share N3 in ireland on cable. From what I know from the sat scene they are able to extract the RSA and box key from their card or receiver and to date I have not been able to find out any info on the sagem boxes or other types used in ireland. Only a polish site that you have to send him your box.
Has there been any progress in getting the RSA / box key so that we can start to C/S

Hi. I just got a Dreambox DM500-C and I hit factory reset on the box. Ive now rescanned all my channels and I can get all the free channels but I cannot get any of the encrypted pay channels. Is there any way to fix this and if there is can you please PM me and let me know?

You must ftp latest roms and autoupdate files to your box!

Sorry, I'm not being sarcastic it's just you'll hear a different rumour every day. It might be December it might be next October. No-one will know. They usually don't even tell the installers as most of them are contractors from a different company.

Did I not hear somewhere (on a forum) That the Nagra code writers have told NT Hell they will pay them a million quid (or something) if this is cracked within the first 3 or 4 or 5 years of the release date?
not sure at all but not sure we'll have a crack any time soon.

I had branson round for tea last night.
He assured me the boxes were going to be fine for the time being as they do not want to disrupt the services over christmas.
He was a gentlman. He also commented on my DM500 stating that in the near future he may relase a box just as small and petite as it was sitting on top of my flashed xbox 360 which he also commented on.
He asked if he could take a picture and to send bill gates whom he is quite pally with.
I said "Go ahead"
So there you have it from the horses mouth. We are still good to go for a while yet.

Hi guys,
I'm just getting back into the loop after a few months out.
I have a dreambox 500C here gathering dust and need to know what to do??
Last I heard I had to flash it with an image and change 3 files in the var folder I think it was??
Could someone send me or put up the correct up-to-date image and files etc or even a tutorial on how? Is it possible to mess it up? ie damage the box when flashing??

The only way you can add an hdd to your dm500 is by mounting it to your pc throught shared networking.
Thus meaning you can record from thr dreambox and playback. Also you can play mpeg 2 files to your dreambox and also mp3's.
