Hi Folks I've used this place for a few months now since i bought my Starview box and I'd like to thank you all for vital help. I bought my box it was playing up so i updated the firmware, then it died on me?..I contacted the seller and he told me sorry no comeback you souldnt have updated it. Then thru here i discovered I had a clone...well I thought ,,,there goes £100. Looking around I started to investigate how to get life back into it...all I saw was Jtag..a little more snooping I managed to purchase one with software on ebay for a measly £8. Easily soldered 6 wire onto my dead box loaded the software and flashed the clone safe software and Yee Haa my box was back. All down to the help you guys post on here so thank you for your help.

Glad it worked out for you come back anytime there is a new v2.57eu which is for the clon box and you do not have to input codes available in my post address at bottom eko downloads

Thanks for the pm of files yesterday. I have now tried v 2.55 2.57 2.57 fixed and 2.59 to try and fix my spare box but i still get a bad channel with a currupted screen . on all channels audio works fine
the picture has improved since i started but is still not watchable
any ideas what to do next both my boxes are clones so i know it is not a signal problem as the good box works fine

you could go to the information site the link is at the bottom might get something there worth a try
Did you reset the box back to factory settings before you flashed an put it in standby with remote flashed from pc not laptop

No Not since I got the box off ebay 2 nd hand but maybe it had and that is why i am having the problem do you think i would need to jtag
but i do have power and everything works except for the bad freezing and distorted picture

press menu press language settings type 1968 twice. then right arrow to find nagravision keys. works on all eurovox.

Just wondering how Ch***s is suited for the SV box? A friend of mine is looking for me to get him one but he has the afore mentioned provider. Will it autoroll with ver4 for him or is it a manual key input job?

There is a new terrestrial box out called "The Box" that is designed to work and autoroll on Ch****. Is he on true cable or MMDS?

Please can someone help me.
I have read this a number of times and still cannot understand where the "VCC" lead is connected. I know 1 end is connected to cap 40. Where is the other end connected. It is not mentioned on the simple jtag diagram.
Hi LastCuban, you don't connect vcc to anything, not if you are using the simple jtag cable, like you are

A Factory reset prob isnt a bad idea ( wont do it any more harm)
but lookin through your posts it looks like the box is faulty
( as fergusrb says its prob a bad jtag) why not jtag it again (if u can ) I mean if it dies so what, its useless at the moment anyway !

Great to here that as i said you will have to manually input your keys unless you put v4 on it ok but the codes should be here with no problems
