Hey guys, I found an awsome program, that let's you change your sub menu text, without hex editing. It is called RCO Swapper, and it is very easy to use, and cosiderably easier than Hex Editing.

i know that i hve to put Gameboot into the resource folder in Flash0. but whenever im finished. i start a umd. and it has no game boot. its just an original psp gameboot just with no sound. i've used the same file before and it worked. but then i flashed my 3.03oe-c ( so i can start all over with flash files) and now it doesnt work no more. icons work. font no problem. waves perfect. just this gameboot.
thanks

If you have the bogus FW additions to your XMB, that may be why. Another reason may be if you have barely enough room for your gameboot to fit, it might just play the default one instead, Idk. Good luck!
Quote: can i open up the current bmp i have, which i like, and change the size to 60x34 and then the waves will work with the wallpaper?
You can, but keep in mind @ 60x34 it may look ok, but it's going to be s t r e t c h e d to 480x272, so it might look really bad. But yea, no harm will be done; Try it.

* edit* i got it working with a ps2 game boot. the game boot is the ps2 system boot screen. pretty nice.

Here's the link for 1.00 Bogus Firmware dude, it's an alternate Sony firmware that got released in 2005 but recalled really quickly I believe. It has different icons and sounds to regular firmware.

Guano: That's 480 x 272 that messes the icons. I have 300 x 170 right now and it works perfect :D
LAMPRO: Just do what it says in the readme and it works!

Aight u dont rename it with the file extnsion .RCO becuas eby defualt its hidden so just keep it as system_plugin.fg and flash and over rite.
WE get teh black or what ever colour behind out waves by creating a 01-12.BMP file.
Im using the ones from the Original Bogus Firmware.. made into a single .BMP file..

Yes just rename to system_plugin.fg and upgrade to OE-C and flash manually.

OE-C is better becuase of the substantial changes in the bootstrap that tyranide found which now allows more 1.5 homebrew to run. and u have flash0 access via USB <--- whats stoping u upgrading?
Also it doesnt matter what FW u r on.. u can flash the .RCO
