just thought it would help but i guess ur guys are on microsofts side huh?
the reason games cost so much is bcoz of ppl downloading them.
why pay $100 for games when u can get em off torrent.

The Way to do it is Refund Fraud.
I bought a NTSC Xbox from China and couldnt play it in Australia, coz we use PAL here, so i went to the local department store and bought a brand new pal 360, and i put the ntsc one back in the box for a refund.
u can try this when your seal is broken and u just cant fix ur 360.
make sure u do it at a large department store, where there is plenty of them, incase u fail at one store u can move to the next.
I work for one of these stores, so i know its pretty easy, as the people working in the front couldnt care less, all they seem to do is check if you got everything in it. they never test it.
some store will require that u get an RMA code from microsoft, if they ask you for this, just call up the hotline and make up as much Bullshet as u can and get the number.

PS. ive been buying faulty stuff off ebay and pulling this for over 2yrs now and i made quiet a bit of money selling them back.
Roy, you do realize that return fraud is a CRIME right? At least in Florida. How can you live with yourself cheating companies like that. They should match the serial numbers too to prevent crooks like you stealing from them. I wish the Mods would trace your IP and report you so you get nailed, you make me SICK.

That idea dose sorta bug me. It is because of companies like Microsoft that have such horrible customer service that bring the worst out of people.
I remember just a few years ago most stores had a 90 in store exchange and a 30 day return policy. And now because of refund fraud most stores have a 14 day return policy and charge you a restocking fee if the product is working, and only have at best a 30 in store exchange.
This is also one of the reasons why prices are going up on consumer goods, if the stores have to cough up the money for the fraud, it always manages to find its way back to the consumer. The stores need to stay ahead in order to stay in business.
Take that into consideration next time you try to rip off a store roy...

well blame microsoft for making such crap consoles which forced me to do the unthinkable... they always wanna charge me to fix my damn console, plus i only return the faulty ones bcoz i think microsoft has to take back their shitty consoles and fix it for FREE. they dunt deserve to get paid more. we worked hard for our money and dunt deserve to get treated like shit.
plus i got IP changer, it changes every hour so yeh.
i really think microsoft should just take back all the broken consoles and recycle the parts rather than repair them. coz its just gonna fail again in about 12 months.
these evil ideas of mine popped up in my head after frustration and anger as i got off the phone. i refuse to pay $149 to get my console fixed. i paid like $500 for the darn thing.
remember anger and stress can make a person go insane, plus microsoft makes billions a yr, i want to see them go bankrupt

Alright here is my experience so far with my XBox 360,and yes I just recently started having problems after 8 months maybe not even a year.I put a game in my system and it displays "Open Tray" even if the game is in perfect condition it still says that.I boxed up my 360 and take it to WalMart to get it exchanged since it is covered under a 2 year warranty.They start to exchange my 360 then all of the sudden the person that is exchanging my 360 says "Oh I forgot,you have to call this telephone #" and gives me the XBox phone number.I asked the people in WalMart if they will exchange my 360,and they replied with a Yes.I call up Microsoft about a couple hours later reporting the problems I'm having,and this is what they tell me.They said to turn on my console and go to the Harddrive option in the dashboard and hit Y X X LB RB Y X X ,which brought up a maintenance message and a progress bar which deletes the cache I think.It didn't work at all with any game I put in the console.Then the lady on the other line says "we are going to send you a box to package your 360 to send back to us,and you get a free month of XBox Live" .I then asked her how long will the shipping be she said 3 weeks turnaround,and what the hell am I suppose to do with a free month of XBox Live if my console won't read a damn game.I haven't recieved the box yet to package it up,but I'm pretty pissed off at the moment.I paid $600 for this system with a 2 year warranty,and they give me this BS.I read up on this error message,and there is a support thread made by Microsoft on this.It is the next major issue besides the RROD errors people are getting.I was wondering is their an XBox 360 system that doesn't screw up.If someone has the answer to that question then I'm all ears.

Most xbox 360 systems don't screw up. If you want the that has the least chance of screwing up, then try to get a falcon system.

Dude, all the pre-Falcons have a good chance of eventually failing, what are you talking about "most xbox 360 systems dont screw up". I say a failure rate of 33% is awful in my book. I've had 3 RRODs, I used a fan to keep it cool, never play more than 2 hours, etc, and still got it. Finally bought a Falcon and it's like night and day. It's crap that MS still sends out the obviously defective refurbs out, it's really sickenining, we all pay our hard earned money for a 360 and they send back crap which will soon get the RROD. EVERY RROD (or other defects) should receive a Falcon, instead of this other crap they send out. If you could mod the PS3, I most definitely would be buying that insteat. Microsoft could care less about the customers, they just are concerned with making money only and beating Sony.

There is no CONFIRMED 33 percent failure rate. Plus that's not MOST, that's less than half.
I've had 11 fail on me and only one was RROD.

The system I have is an XBox 360 elite,and it isn't that old.How can you tell if it is a Falcon or not,because it probably is a Falcon since it aint that old.What do you mean most XBox 360 systems don't screw up,this system has tons and tons of pages on people reporting issues that are on different sites including Microsoft's main site.I would have to say this system has the most issues out of all the next gen consoles,and I'm lucky I have two other consoles to keep me occupied while I wait which aren't screwing up by themselves.

Yeah your right its not a Falcon which sucks,but I'm serious this console is not that old.I agree with DontBanMe though when he said Microsoft should be sending out Falcon's instead of this junk.I'm not impressed with Microsoft's service turnaround times either,and like I said what good is a month free of XBox Live if you can't even get your system working.

Abuzzard, quit being a Microsoft shill, you have no idea what you are talking about, it's MORE than 33%, son, do some research before you post stuff, it will make you sound much more intelligent. I've read a ton of articles from Microsoft insiders talking about how bad the problem is.
Right L Burna, their turnaround time is so bad, takes a week to get the box, and then 3-4 days for them to receive it and then a few days at the service center then 3-4 days to get back. They pissed me off Thursday, UPS delivered my RROD to them, but the Mesquite, TX facility rescheduled it for Monday, it's like "why could you just accept it Thursday???" So annoying. Microsoft obviously knew these initial machines were defective with the RROD, but they still released to beat the PS3 to the market. Basically a FU to the people who buy it.

Do you have to get 50 broken 360s to realize there is a MAJOR PROBLEM HERE? I'm mature enough to understand that I'm the exception not the rule. The fact of the matter is that of all the people that I know with Xbox 360s only mine have failed. My current one has been working fine for some time now and I believe they have fixed many of the problems.
Stop throwing around insults, fro your behavior I could say the same about you and actually have justification.

Look, we just disagree, I think the pre-Falcon 360s have a MAJOR problem with RROD, etc. If a console gets hot as a firecracker after 5 secs, you know something isn't right. The Falcons are great, they had the time to build a 360 unit that is made correctly. They should have developed this unit in the first place, instead of releasing defective equipment. If it was a toaster, it wouldn't be that big a deal, but we are talking about a $400 item.

*bleep*! I just ordered mine, xbox-elite. I am so damn afraid of having the same problem as well. However, how come everybody is so hooked-up to xbox 360. I buy it cuz I wanna play back-up of the original games I own. Otherwise, I don't feel what the point is of buying it. MS really sucks...If everybody could wait and stop buying its products, eventually, it needs to upgrade its products and make them better. I know if we just support sony and no MS...The economics of the US will decline. However, broken products sold to customers is just the act which is unbearable. How could a big company sell shitty things like this. It just ruin its own reputation by selling these fautly shit
