DVD copying with icopydvds2 and anydvd

I had been using the above combination of software programs successfully for quite a while. Recently AnyDVD stopped idntifying the disc information in the grey box which had formerly popped up. Has anyone else had this happen. Far more serious is that after the programs complete step 1 or reading the dvd and I insert a blank disk of the same type I have been using when prompted to the program fails to recognize that blank media is present-the red copy button fails to light. I have installed the newest firmware from the manufacturer of my DVD-RW drive and checked for conflicting programs as well as disabling virus protection etc. prior to attempting to copy. Please help.
