Why is it they make anydvd so much money (39.00).It is a big gamble if you buy it. they may come out with new encryption that will knock anydvd out and then your stuck again. it would be much better and more affordable if they lowered the price people would subcribe more and not ask silly guestions.

Any DVD will update you for life time (as long as they are in business) I just got the new AnyDVD version update yesterday. So far I'm very pleased with AnyDVD.

Up untill now Slysoft has always come up with the updates for AnyDVD quicker than anybody else. I am a menber of another forum and the slysoft team regularly visit to here what people have to say about there program and any problems they have backing up there dvd collection.
If there is a new copy protection out on a dvd, the slysoft team will ask what film it is and what region it is and they will get a fix for it.
All you have to do is look at the slysoft site and check the AnyDVD history to see all the hard work they put into giving you a great program.

I don't think that £21 is all that much for it, and a lifetime updates is even better.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

that is why they have a 21 day free trial. I bought it after the fifth day.

I'll put my money on AnyDVD that it will break it before another software is able to.

Hey johnlorr,

Your solution is right here ~

It's called DVD43 and it fits your price range ~

It works behind the scenes just like AnyDVD ~

http://dvd43.com/

Enjoy,

If AnyDVD doesn't decrypt a movie then there won't be much hope for anything else to do it either.

Note to whomever thinks slysoft comes out with new copyprotections faster.........i disagree. Lightning UK (DVD Decrypter) always has the crack first. :)

Hi all
I agree with all of you in here. DVD Decrypter is also very outstanding program as AnyDVD. But I do understand the point that there are a lot people out there still don't really know the system well. They just want to point click, wait and done. Any DVD suits all of the beginners just like DVD X-copy used to be. With DVD Decrypter , it will take serveral steps further to get DVD done.

For a long time I had nothing but XCopy, and like the ease of use, but it is obsolete, so I looked for alternatives. Using the Scuba Pete guide you can still do a one click copy, using DVD Shrink to rip, and DVD Decrypter/Nero to burn. If you use AnyDVD in conjunction with DVD Shrink you can rip almost anything. You can still do a one click and walk away.

It's always nice to see people take a simple process and complicated it for fun and I guess, challenge. Also, one needs to define "one click copying". I think there is some "new math" involved.

Two - "Backup"
Three - "OK"

Hello SCUBAPETE!!!!!!!!!!! just wanted to say HI to
you, thanks for all the help you have given to
me and everyone else aswell..then jump on this
thread............................

@johnlorr...as for AnyDVD being so much money ($39.00) well we must look at the whole picture here.........you get lifetime updates, you can
share the proggy with your family or friends, use
it on several different computers...........

and then i think.. well that's the only money i have put out yet, we all have been using two of the best proggys out there for free,DVDShrink / DVDDecypter

as far as Raven2005 stating, he disagree's, with
ANYDVD being updated very quickly..well your by
far wrong.........

DVDDecypter was no where near updated that fast
that i've ever seen, nor anyone else.

so AnyDVD + DVDShrink + DVDDecypter for the small
amount of $39.00 WOW........................

like bilbo65 stated if AnyDVD can't do it.....
well we all have a big PROBLEM..............

I agree! If AnyDVD can't rip it. We are ALL in a Jam! I bought it. In my opnion it was the best 39 bucks I ever spent for such a program. (Actually a filter driver). Anyway, if you use AnyDVD with DVD Shrink, you can tackle anything currently out!

Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

i have purchased AnyDVD too and i find it VERY useful and with the lifetime updates, i agree with the other members it is well worth the money. the poster above me however, will get canned very shortly, "cracking software" illegally is not the purpose of these forums.

Use the DVD43 for FREE - it's as good as DVD Decrypter for the most part, works like AnyDVD and the price is right -

Just thought I'd add my $.02! I have DVD43 which I use with XCOPY XPRESS RF and I had AnyDVD which I used with CloneDVD2. They're all great! I have found that when I can't backup with 1 set, the other will do it. Since I let my trial period run out for AnyDVD I can't afford to buy it right now though. I must admit I did use AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 more than the others. I recently started using DVD Decrypter. It's great! I have found that when running into new encryptions from Sony, AnyDVD is the one to use by far...and they do update blindingly fast!

@YOBUZZB,

Take a moment to fine-tune your DVD Decrypter's settings. First, it should be version 3.5.4.0. Go to "Tools", "Settings", set everything to "Default". Then in the "General" tab change, "Removal Method" from "Normal" to "Aggressive", in "File Mode", "tick" Remove IFO PUO's." For ripping in the "ISO, Read Mode", "tick" "Remove IFO PUO's" there also. in the "CSS" tab, under "CSS Cracking Method", choose "Brute Force ~> I/O Key Exchange" and "On Failure" choose "Yes". . IMPORTANT: In the "I / O" tab, in the bottom right, "tick" the box which says, "Ignore read errors". This is an excellent setting for dealing with lightly scratched discs which may cause reading problems. We're now finished with our settings here so click "OK." There's no reason to change these settings. DVDD is good ripper right out of the box, all we did is to give it some "teeth." (Lol :)

Under "Mode" we have a choice of either File or ISO Read to rip our DVD. I like to try it in the "File" Mode normally. When ripping in the "File" Mode, we want to create a folder named VIDEO_TS (written like that ~> case sensitive) as a destination location.

Then pick it up using DVD Shrink "Open Files" and process as usual. The main page S/B self explanatory - Now, go rip our happy heart out - :)

WHEN RIPPING A TROUBLESOME DVD or an episodel DVD, I use DVD Decrypter in the ISO Mode -

REASON: When you rip a DVD in the "File" Mode, you only copy the file structure. When ripping a DVD in the "ISO" Mode, you copy the entire disc just as it is. Every nuance, camera angle, etc.

When ripping in the "ISO" Mode, we want to create a folder to hold our ISO image files. You will have an .ISO file and a .Mds file. Not to worry, DVD Shrink makes picking up an ISO image as easy as pie. Open DVD Shrink and go to"File" - "Open Disc Image", "Browse" for the folder you created to hold your Image files and select the .Mds file. Yes I know, the size is very small and it seems that the entire DVD is held in the ISO file BUT everything will open fine. Let DVD Shrink pickup the file and then process as usual. If you want to use another proggy, you can use ISO Buster to change your ISO Image back to your VOB files, it only takes a second to convert them.

OK, iffin you need a new version (Jan. 05, '05)
Here it is -

That will help quite a bit.
