Hi~ I got a original FW 2.5 with the curse ta-082~
I was trying out the second version of easy installer and so far i've done everything i should do.
The problem is do i have to update to 2.71 FIRST before trying out HENC? or is it ok and just continue on with the instructions?
Also, I've tried HENC and I got the blue screen for like 5~6 sec and suddenly the screen goes black and like seems like it went to power sleep mode or probably just turned off (sorri got my psp last week)
I turned it on again and tried again and same results all the time.
THe meaning of 'freezing' on the blue screen, what is it anyway? just blue screen for like forever?
Help me anyone~

vampiro93 my man you have to backup and format memorystick and try it.just extract all the files to your memory stick root.
if u do not format your memory stick usually there is a problem.
there could not be any problem coz i have tried this myself and with other users here.
guys i have updated the threads first post and the easy installer is also updated,from now u need to use torrent client to get it.
i repeat this so that u will know.
sssilver do not delete the file coz u need to for booting xmb or umd or others i don't remember but if u think it is not much of a use then delete it.
kyungpal, the guy is rite you have to update to 2.71 or this won't work.

hye guys .. having the same problem as what few ppl here has gone thru too ..
went to HEN folder, click on the pic .. screen went blue .. went to Devhook, choose UMD (the game - Ridge Racer 2.cso), settings as per recommended , and in main menu, i put in my UMD (Midnight challenge), then everything stops, hangs. had to hard reset by taking out the battery ..
any ideas how to solve this ? thanks !!

are you guys sure u have place them on the memorystick path.
i hope u know where,ok ahh all the files should be place in
removable drive X:\
X is the drive letter and if u still can't get this to work guys
maybe your psp is not a 2.71,then u have to update it.
your psp must be 2.71 no lower no higher,only 2.71.
this works on TA-082's.
if that is not the reason then either u guys did not format your
memorystick.u have to delete everything inside before instlling the files.
try this format your memorystick then extract all the files from the easy installer to your (removable drive X:\),X is the drive letter k.overwrite the files if it ask and do not place anything inside after that,not even an iso,please.this is to see if there is anything wrong with it.
do not place any umd inside the PSP.
now boot HENC,this will autoboot itself.
now boot devhook launcher vshex mod,now you will be in devhook.
set the settings,
umd-file : nothing
target :(reboot XMB)
UMD-Mode : --UMD DISC--
FIRMWARE : 2.71, enable henC for 2.71 in the ADD-ON MENU
CLOCK : 222mhz /111mhz
umd VER. : 2.xx to 2.00, to enable this goto more options then umd sfo version
advance : Remote controller,PL-ADDR=0x89200000
then click the start button in the menu
now you must be in a different background,if you can't get to this then there could be many reasons and i can't help you then you can try to ask in other forums or threads.

chunglam works for me but i want to be able to do the manual 1 because: its not my psp and he wont understand chunglam's..its alittle wierd..cant u make sometin like chunglams but with like all of them done.. i mean take ur ta 082 then just copy all the files..rar it and upload please.. i want the manual

got to admit i think its getting a tad confusing for me. Which one has just the henc and devhook in it, or in otherwords, the essentials pack.

Hi kealvalro, must I always boot to HenC then to dev hook?
Or I do this once only.Then when I am switching iso game , do i need to go back to dev hook then switch?

Great! Thanks guys finally worked and have been playing iso since last night. It's kinda bothersome gotta load henc and crossing your fingers to work.. if the next version supports permanent henc will it be easier to update it to the current one?
BTW did anyone try testing if isos work with AD-HOC mode(multiplayer)?

ive used this guide and ive been able to play isos perfectly and thats been great. but i wanted to move onto gba emulators and every1 that ive tried so far has not worked. i have a factory 2.6 ta-082 white psp(upgraded to 2.71). is there any special reason why homebrews arnt working for me? or are the homebrews meant to be ran, just the ones for isos?

OK, so I've got my 2.6 PSP upgraded to 2.71. Formatted the memory stick, went to extract devhook chunglam easy installer files into the memory stick drive, after awhile I get this error message:
"Write error in the file psp\game\%__SCE__DH_MOD\EBOOT.PBL. Probably the disk is full"
I have no idea what that's all about. The memory stick I'm using is a Sony 2gb and as I said, I format it every time before trying to extract the easy install files to the drive. I'm not trying to put them into folders, just into the drive as the instructions said. Any ideas?

furious88,yes u have to boot henc if you hard reset your psp,meaning u hold the power button for 5-6sec but i do not do this.just put it in sleep mode this does not use battery did u notice.try it and u will think what is the use off fulling reseting it rite.oh u do not need to go to devhook to change the game you just press HOME once then at the bottom of the screen use the analog to change the image.

to set up your router i think the top one is netgear router quite easy to do it.mines was a bit different coz i was using a rubbish kind.our family is not that rich to buy expensive ones.

0mnis14sh use gpsp 8.0 to play gba games but i think u need to boot to 1.50.and also u need to have the gba_bios.bin in it.try to do it
Defiance9,i hope u do not mind i say this.2gb memory stick has a lot of fakes now.u have to be careful.but i do not know if your one is a fake one.everything should go in the root of your memorystick and yes u have to format your memorystick.good luck

i tried this
if u guys want an easy installer get it here
inside already have these things:
HENC,fw1.50 and fw2.71
i have change the background for fw1.50 but if u want me to change
it to a different one then tell me
NOTE:if u do not format your memory stick mostly there will be problems.so backup any files u want and please format your memory stick.and do the steps
i already updated this so u don't need to move anything
and if the file cannot be uploaded then tell me in the forum,don't PM
coz i don't check PM'S sometimes,i hope u guys use torrent
filename is "devhook chunglam 1.65a"

download the file,extract the files to your.
memory stick meaning when u open your memory stick drive you will see at least the "PSP" folder.now drag all the files to the memory stick(note:do not drag it in any folder e.g "PSP"folder)
don't boot HENC too fast,let the box color turn gray then boot HENC COZ it usually hangs if u do not wait.ok boot it then the blue screen will pop out and the blue screen will stay for 2 to 3 secs
then it will autoboot.if it freezes then redo it again.at least 3 to 4 times
if your psp auto boots after blue screen then follow Step
D)Booting the first time>>in the middle of this post.
then u done done.
But if u still do not have any luck in getting in then download HENC from this link:

after that
open henC file
extract "SRC" to your memory stick Main path,overwrite if ask
open MS_ROOT and extract "PSP" to your memory stick Main path,overwrite if ask
open devhook and extract "DH" to your memory stick Main path,overwrite if ask
remember place it straight to your memory stick.
then try again.i hope this will work this time
i can see blue screen abt 2 sec then it off by itself , did not reboot ,tried a few times still the same , wat could have went wrong

I have a psp 2.71, I used your guide to instal devhook and henc. Everything works fine i go to photo then wait a few sec on the image, and then the screen goes blue and reboots, then i start devhook. But my problem is i cant get my iso games to boot up.
Once in devhook i go to firmware and then 1.5, then start. Then i go to game and devhook. and i select the iso to play. So far so good. but once i go to the game menu on my psp, the little preview starts (i do have a another UMD in) for the iso (GTA LCS and Tekken) but when i click on them it says that I have to upgrade to 2.6? Im very new to this so please somebody help?

Hmmm...I got it from Best Buy...not sure what's going on because every time I try to install it it seems to stop at a different point. A couple of times it said there was an error but I still had HENC in my photo folder (didn't get it to work though). Other times I have reformatted, started fresh and had an error and not even ended up with HENC...

zulluey try the normal 2.71 not the nan-flash.
neff somehow some games does not work for us.
Defiance9 try putting someother files in a mean some not little if this is still popping the error then that means its the memory stick.
can u change the memorystick in the place u got it from.
tomic4585 u have to use the 2.71 firmware in devhook not 1.50.
Wolf873 yes can play iso but u need to update to 2.71.

naah .. its still the same .. i guess i'll be using the old devhook0.4x launcher for 2.71 by alex ... damn .. i thought this one could play more games than this one .. thanks kealvalro !! ur hardwork is highly appreciated ! will always update on your updates .. heheh ..
