Hi...

I have done a few fat PSP's with this upms method and they have all worked great... many thanks!

However, today I tried my first slim PSP. It's a white 2003 with fw version 3.60

Using the pandoras battery and magic memory stick nothing happens, just a green light on the PSP, the memory stick light doesn't flash at all. I tried it in a fat PSP and it works...

The only other odd thing I found was the fat PSP I am using will not load other pandoras battery programs, only the upms one. The program file shows in the menu and when it's run I get a message saying game could not be started.

I have searched around and read for about 3 hours about this today but not found an answer.... yet... ;)

any suggestions?

Well this frightens me because I will try on mine.
But the question is Have you booted up using the Slim Method?

Something you can try to make it work for you->
-1>Remove the slim battery.
-2>Insert your UPMS Memory Stick.
-3>Turn Hold switch to on.
-4>Hold Left Trigger.
-5>Insert JigKick battery and keep holding Left Trigger until Slim turns off.
-Remove Battery then proceed from step 4.
You will see on screen: Loading Despertar Cementerio V3.

IMPORTANT:
Once the menu has loaded press [ ] to back up the Slims Nand.
Don't forget to turn Hold switch off, but be gentle otherwise you could power off the PSP and have to do from step 3 again.
Then press X to install 371M33-2.

Well as you see in the GUI there are links to Both 3.71 and 1.50 just click and download them.
Nope They won't disable your 3.71M33, the Installer just need them to create the files need to convert the memory stick. Do not worry. After downloading just copy them to the ROOT of your memory stick named as 371.PBP and 150.PBP as the GUI explains.

You must have it named 150.PBP and 371.PBP
Exactly like that.

yeah man what he just said

but if u want a easy way to do it use the totalnewbie easy installer
it takes a while to download but its a plug and play
just connect your psp to the pc start the program and follow the instructions and it does all the work for you
i used it and works like a charm

all you need is the pandoras battery
so make one from a friends cfw or manualy make one

well good luck

cheers... I will give it a try when I get the slim back, the owner couldn't be without it ;)

I did try the new auto installer with the pandora firmware maker but kept getting the same message as with the other pandora programs, which was "unable to load game" ... that was when I went back to the upms loader, which so far is the only application pack I have been able to run without any problems.

**Just an FYI to everybody**-Be sure to double check when you are done running the UPMS installer that you have the icons present for the add-ons (1.50-2 kernel patch, M33UPDATE, etc...) Under the game menu-

I recently changed memory sticks and ran the cso thats linked on the first page of this thread, and when I was done running through the steps-I saw that I did not have the utilities under the game menu..Just the UPMS Installer cso--I went back through the steps a few times using different combinations and came to the conclusion that something may be wrong with the installer when it is supposed to install the utilities on Step#3-It Doesn't-I had to use Step#4 to install the Add-ons manually....

***EDIT*** I put the UPDATE.PBP in the root of my memory stick which caused the utilities to not be installed. My mistake-

If you follow the guide as its posted-You will be fine..

Hey bro this is because you included the UPDATE.PBP file when install didn't you? Anyway just leave it out or download the installer again. This was fixed a couple weeks ago. I found this bug when trying to save time installing UPMS for others. So we had to code a slight fix and now all is normal again. Hope this helps ya bro.

Ok I am checking right now and here the ICONS I have in game (remembering that I also used STEP4 as mentioned previously)

1 - PSP Filer Ver.4.4.Kernel3
2 - M33 3.71 Update ver 1.50
3 - 3.71 M33-3
4 - ICON 3:33:33 (which I forgot what it is :-))
5 - 3.52 M33Update
6 - KeyCleaner
7 - MaxSafe 1.0
8 - U.P.M.S.

That's all I've got in it. Please just remind me which one is the CEMETERY.

And Is all correct?

None of those are Cemetery bro. Cemetery is contained in the cemetery folder on the root of the UPMS. It may also be named kd if active. You can not see it from the XMB.

All else looks fine.

Yeah thats probably what it was-I must have copied the UPDATE.PBP file over when I was going through the steps...I still had the old version on my other memory stick, so I just copied over the eboots.

In any event, my stick works good now..

@pspfree-^^When you put the battery and memory stick in a slim, you only have one choice in the Ultimate Loader (Main)menu-and thats DCv3-The other two (Joker and Hellcat)dont even show up now..

From the looks of your last post, your files are in order..
My extras didnt get installed because of my own doing-I put the UPDATE.PBP file in the root of the memory stick when it wasnt necessary. I forgot it was created under Step#3-I had just copied over the eboots from my other memory stick which had the previous version of UPMS on it..

Well, at first the green light comes up. After like 3 seconds or so, the Memory Stick light starts flashing. After 2 lots of flashes, it stops flashing. Then the back light automatically comes on... Then that's it... I've hold the L button right down... Is this me screwing my PSP up?

I am sorry that I didnt get back to you-I was heading out the door to go to work for the evening...

So without the pandora battery and UPMS memory stick your psp boots normally to 1.50? Is that right? I think you will probably have to just get a USB cable to get your psp up and running cfw again-It sounds to me like you might have a few files missing from your UPMS memory stick because you are doing the right thing...You are holding the L trigger button long enough to get a blank screen-But no UL menu..Do you still have the older version of UPMS or the newer Emerald? Not that it makes a difference. Had you used it with success prior to this happening, or did you not really test it out much?

I've used the UPMS to upgrade and downgrade, and it works fine...
I'm using the old UPMS.
And yes, my PSP boots to 1.50... My USB cable has been corrupted... I think I'm going to get an MS adapter... I don't know if I can find one in the UK, but hey...
So, just say I an MS adapter... Could I get another version of UPMS to work on 1.50? Not that it matters because my battery is in Service mode and I can copy my backed up UPMS files into my MS...
Well, thanks for helping...
I'll see if I can get my mum to buy me an MS Adapter from eBay lol :P]

EDIT: Uh, hey, can the MS Adapter just stick into a normal USB port...? I have no SD Slot or w/e it is... Please tell me they fit in normal USB slots >.<

Yep they just use the regular usb port.

Do you by chance have another usb cable you can try on the PSP? MP3 players also use the mini-b usb so I use one from an mp3 player.

Might be a long shot but have you tried the psp & usb in another pc or laptop?

edit: typo
