I have 2 problems with the starview 4. I installed latest software - everything works ok. However when I try to sort alphabetically the option is "greyed" out on the screen - I cant access it. Can this be fixed.
The second problem is that I cannot record to my 1000g HD. Its very slow to recognise it when I access through the USB menu - but when I record nothing happens. Any Ideas?

first of all you cant do it manually to sort your channels and did you try and format your hd it could be a bit 2 many gigs to have on your box or it could be the type of hd that you have

I have a Starview/The Box which is now of no use and cannot pick up NTL stations here.
I recently moved to a new house and there is a satelite dish on the side of the house but has no receiver inside.
Does anybody know how I can get this satelite to work ?
Will the Starview boxes work , do i have to add software ?
Can anybody suggest what I have to do to get it to work ?

any one missing a few music stations on the sv4 usb? evrytin else is grand. tried manual scan but stil nothing

that box needs a cable feed ,not a sat feed so wont work.
you need a cable sub from n*l etc.

I put this a tread earlier, but cannot rember where.
I'm trying to load firmware, But I am getting " The downloading is not requested" can anyone shine a light, I have tried starting and waiting for 2-3 seconds to start the box, but no joy, should it go back to the supplier.Its a Kryptview. thanks in advance

Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere, I have been searching and can't seem to find what I am looking for.
I have a Starview 4 with an external Hard Drive hooked up. I have the record and playback function working perfectly. However I ripped an original DVD to my PC and copied it to the Hard Ddrive but I can't get it to playback through the starview for some reason.
Does anybody know if movies have to be in a specific format for playback or does what I'm trying to do actually work at all? My movie is currently in .AVI format.
Any help would be great, cheers!

Hi Hubabuba, had the same problem myself Hooter got back to me, turns out my laptop being a windows vista cannot work with this. Got a friend to do it and he said you have to press the download at the exact time you switch the box on.Hope this is a help.

you can not do it manualy on your box you need to do it with a (SV4CE_V2.0.1.Beta2) you can find it in eamos library but i can not tell or give you any instructions on how you use it as i dont know myself.
also are you not using the new bete version for your starv*ew 4, do you have all of your channels or are you missing some, if so you will find it under my signature at the end of my post.

You can sort them into fav no problem, getting them the other way i do not think it is possible, as the box mimics the original cc box

Hi guys im sure u have heard this alot but is there or will there be a fix for the starview 1 box i have like 15 here needing to fix:D
I got all my usb ones working but have searched all over google for sv 1 fix so far no luck.
IS there not even people trying to fix it themsleves?

There are no more people doing fixes now outside of the manufacturers, so the answer to your question is no, and i dont think they would like to be called nerds either, it takes a lot of time and effort to do what they do,so be great full, for all the other fixes before N2 landed.

Hooter, is your link the latest for krytoview a750 firmware? Going to flash my fatherinlaws one he just bought later.
I have the loader and cable, so just wanted to check for the latest update to use with n*l.
