Hi everyone , sorry to seem stupid, is it not possible to manually input the codes in either *view or ? Max v anymore, if N2 is cracked then, the *view 4 usb should give us some codes!!!

nagra 2 uses different info which you cannot input,unless the box has an update firmware fix for n2 it will not work.

There is only the 1 new unit, its the Kryptview Evo 750, you can get them from the link below

Hello Hooter - I purchased a Kryptview a few weeks back and after a bit of initial hassle got it up and running. The one thing I would have a slight gripe about is the response/performance of the remote control. Is there a fix for this or is it part of the firmware I have already loaded, and this is the best the remote will operate. All help appreciated.

http://rapidshare.com/files/255144435/Kryptview_12072009.zip ...................try this file its the latest for kryptview it was posted by lenny on another thread its meant to fix a lot of the problems with kryptview like the remote and epg but since i dont have one i cant test it .. just download it and unwrap it with winrar.. also if you are using the batteries supplied with the box try change them with duracell or good ones that might help aswell

Thanks for that, so is there any hopes to the *view or ?Max-v owners in near future, or its time to go for another electronic investment. I am still confused if i should go for kryptview or starview 4 usb. please somebody can guide me to some feedback or some reviews, also the buying places etc. Based in dublin thanks.

Thanks for that Tempo. I'm sorry but I'm still a bit of a novice with the Kryptview. After I download and unwrap this file do I then need to re-flash my box? Not too sure of the procedure. Cheers Mick.

Yes you can, but better to do it from Pc, as the flash could get corrupt going from 1 box to the other. But yes it is possible.

There is no retailers for any boxes in Ireland, best to Buy from UK.

Can anyone give me a recomendation for a box to use on mainland UK. Does need to be a HD box with HDMI out to replace my existing v+ box and be able to get all the channels.

problem with my K/V remote.the box wont respond to the remote?was fine last night.the box works when useing buttons on front panel.batterys have been replaced,and when i put the R/C up to my phone the screen flashes but only when i press certain buttons[4,7,8,ok,blue,red]when i point the R/C at box and press these buttons nothing happens.have a second K/V in house and that remote works fine on box.latest firmware on box[12072009]on nthell in dublin.cheers

Regarding the Kryptview A750, do any of the suppliers give the software to via using NTL? Skywonder supply with FTA (presume Free to To Air).
Is flashing the box straight forward is the software is not supplied and is it using a usb cable from a laptop/PC?

Very easy to do, you`ll need a NULL Modem Cable DB9F to DB9F
When you have the loader and the firmware
Switch the box off at the back , Start the Download.
Wait about 3 seconds,
Turn the box back on from the back, It will now start loading.
When download is finished, go to the bottom option.
Choose your provider at the top, N*L etc.
Press the green button on the remote, & wait for the next option.
Choose dublin legacy (for Dublin) etc
Press ok & let the box scan. When its finished, Exit out & go to s*y two.
The box will now update, thats it you`re finished
Loader & firmware are in the kryptview folder in eamos library in my sig.

you can get the eurovox 7000hd that has what you need hd and a hdmi connection as well, but not enough channels to warrant that box but that is your choice.

All boxes come with FTA firmware, as all boxes are sold as FTA units, its up to you as an individual to do the rest.

If a fix comes for that box, ill eat my hat lol, i would say the older boxes will not get a fix, if they ever get around to fixing them, it will be the 1000sl upwards only.

well that is also a new box so if they fix one, they should fix that as well, as long as its not a clone you will be ok.
