why is it that when i am playing Super Mario 64 on my psp and i save the game and then leave to my psp's main menu and go back into Daedleus r12 or however you spell it. The games not saved and I have to start the game all over again. Why is that? Is there a way that I can save my game.

after u save it wen u get a star, press select, then go to return to main menu. then u leave tha game. now is when it saves.

I currently use the devhook 0.51 emulator. works great but does not go to 3.40 like this oe does
my question is, is there an update for devhook, or am i better off with this system? (the 3.40 oe)?
I have a 1.50 so all is good in that sense.
Since I got the devhook, i've been away from the forums as eveything worked for awhile, but now i need to update/upgrade.
Anyways, thanks guys/gals

Its good, but its still a little buggy...theres 2 bug fix out there so far... But yea its better than devhook (doesnt crashes as often, and its can recover semi bricks.

if i buy a psp now and i downgrade it to 1.5 up to 3.40oe
1)what r the chances of bricking?
2)can i play normal umds on it?
3)what firmwares cant be downgraded to 3.40oe?and would it be possible to upgrade to one that can?
4)and if i get a umd that needs firmware 3.5 will it brick the psp?

can you tell me which is the "best" firmware now to install on my psp? I just want to play games and other stuff and just it all works. and is it important which firmware to DL(when there is North America, Japan, ....) - I bought it in Europe
So, which firmware is GOOD?
could you please post some links to DL working firmware?

3.40oe works great, i never had any problems with it, 3.51 m33, sofar it seems to be as good as 3.40oe but it is still new so u never no there could be some thing really bad with it
fainted pulse... the fox still lives...

The chances of bricking are up to what you do and what you put on your psp.
You can play normal UMS's and you also can disable playing them.
I think 3.11-3.40 you cant, but im not toatally sure about that.
If you get a psp with a low firmware.
No, it wont brick, just dont upgrade when it asks you to.... so you cant play 3.50 on 3.40 OE yet.

psp1515 is correct on the most part.
3. The firmware that cant be downgraded is firmware 3.51 and up. (3.50 downgrade require a unpathed Lumines game) There are other firmwares in between that cant downgrade but u could upgrade to a firmware that can downgrade.
4. It will not brick your PSP, it will ask u to upgrade to 3.50+ but i would like to say that there is FIrmware 3.51 M33. Which is another custom firmware (kinda buggyer that DAX) But it has homebrew and ability to play 3.51 UMDs.

i just bought a psp with firmware 3.4
is there anyway to get it from here to 3.40oe?without brickin it?

You have to get the Lumines game unpatched. Then upgrade to 3.50 and Use the 3.50 downgrader and then up grade to 3.40 OE. not sure about the motherboards.

Motherbord is whereeverything connect to. And yes, anything that messes with flash can brick. Downgraders are safe if u get it from a reliable source, and dont turn it off while upgrading. Motherbordd in the PSP is almost everything (the flash, CPU, graphics, everythiung except hte buttons and wifi/memory card/headphone is seperate.

Does Lumines 1 have different versions? Like is there a patched version and an unpatched one? Or are all Lumines unpatched. I know that Lumines 2 won't work.
I just ordered one from eBay and am just wondering if I got the right one.

Make sure on ebay that it is unpatched... you have no chance using a patched.

To find out if it is patched or unpatched, when you put the game in the psp and it loads go to update right under the UMD and if it seys 2.00 upgrade or lower it is unpatched.. Anything above is patched.

Oh I see... otherwise, there's no hint on the box cover and no way one could tell without opening the game box. Is it possible that in the future tthere may be a fw for the 3.11?

I have no clue what you guys are talking about,
to downgrade everything from 1.51 to 2.80 there are downgraders
to downgrade everything from 1.51 to 3.03 there are downgraders requiring unpatched GTA:LCS (Unpatched has 2.00 firmware update, patched have 2.81?)
to downgrade everything from 1.51 to 3.50 there are downgraders requiring unpatched Lumines (Unpatched has 3.50 firmare update, patched have 3.51
There are no downgraders for 3.51 and above...well, not yet.
It is almost impossible to tell from packaging, and it is very confusing. During GTA downgraders the pictures on the back were diferent, and so was the year on it, but it was useless because most umd pressing (making) places use the old packaging paper, because they still have the old ones. And the used games that are for sale, could have different packaging
Some people have said that the ULUS number printed on the UMDs were different, they were correct, but it wasn't 100% correct. Right now the patched Lumines UMD are not out in US as i know of, but Sony has recall all the Lumines games from most gamestore chains.
