No, it wasn't the Might Orbots. They didn't look at all like trashcans (except maybe one of them) and they didn't have racing stripes either. They all looked fairly decent and the big bad on that show was called Umbra.
I don't think it was Tranzor-Z either, because only one of those robots was built from junk and that was called the BoboBot. There was a hovercraft that the conroller of Tranzor-Z jumped into, but not a tank.
Are there any other clues you can possibly recall? Names of the heroes or villains, type of cartoon it was? (Anime or not)

It was a cartoon similar to Thundarr the barbarian, it had a superhero who i'm sure was blonde and went about with a girl helping him. It was only both of them and there were always 2 midget gnome like creatures always trying to help the bad guys.
I remember in one episode there was an old witch who mesmerised the girl and stole her youth before the hero and this mysterious knight helped to save her! Anyone have any idea what it might be?
This is only a guess....Galtar and the Golden Lance? He was blonde and there was a female that helped him. She had some kind of magic bracers on her arms that did various things when she would press certain crystals on them.

Okay I got one that I can't remember the name of that has been bugging me for years...It was a (US) Saturday morning cartoon about a brother & sister who drove stunt cars and if I remember correctly one car was red/maroon and the other blue.

hi guys,
hope you can help me :) i've ben trying to find a cartoon that i used to watch back in the 80's.
all I can remember that it definitely happened in space, but the characters wore rather ordinary, bit oldfashioned clothes (something like jedi warriors from first star wars). there was one character, i think main one, that had some kind of weapon on his wrist/arm. looked like a metal wrist band but capable of shooting some projectiles from it.
hope you will be able to help me :)
thanks

In this cartoon, did the bracer/gauntlet/wristband have three rectangular buttons lined up? I have a vague image in my mind about this cartoon. Each of the three colored buttons did something specific.

yes, it does ring a bell. also i do remember that the main theme had kind of nostalgic/bit sad tune, not your regular happy/energetic music ;)

"Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea", eh? Well, I just found it on YouTube and that is completely NOT what I was thinking of. I'd never in my life even heard of that one. LOL! I'm glad you found what you were looking for, though!!! Now, if only someone could help jog MY memory about the guy with the magical bracer with the 3 buttons! :)

What a great resource!!! Thank you! I found a lot of the shows that I used to watch! Unfortunately, the one with the guy with the magic bracer wasn't one of them. Still, it was a great site!

I am trying to remember a cartoon I think was from the 80's. It dealt with a bunch of people that lived in trees and moved around on ropes with harness attached to their back. I had an action figure that had a harness on his head and when you pressed it a rope would shoot out the front and back, I am just trying to recall this particular show.
