I've just read through all your discussion and can't believe nobody has mentioned THE RACOONS . Which possibly had one of the greatest theme tunes of all time.

http://www.gilsinan.com/raccoons/songs/run_with_us1.mp3

And nobody has talked about FRAGGLE ROCK , not a cartoon, but a great kids programme that i religously watched for many years.

Also only one person mentioned GUMMI BEARS . What more can u want from a programme bears that are cute, drink some gummiberry juice so they can bounce really high to defeat the evil guy.

Hi everyone! I come from Hungary, a small country in middle Europe. We doing now a RETRO-WEEK on a comic site. We translate the 80's comics. These comics adapt from classic cartoons! Example: Voltron,Thundercats, Captain Planet, Spaceghost, etc...
Please visit this site, and say hello for the creators. The topic is "RETRO-HÉT..."(need register) Dont worry, they can speak english on excellent level(much better than i)

Anyone know which cartoon Glee was in? It was a ghost or goblin thing and it made a funny noise. I can imitate it perfect but obviously you can't hear me. Also, any good cartoon quizzes out there with photos??

Anyone recall a show that started out with real people in a rock band. If I recall once they started playing they get morphed into cartoons in a cartoon world with cats? I'm thinking bad cats, Fat Cat (the main evil cat?), and a floating keyboard path in the sky they would run across. No one I know recalls this at all and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to find out (if I'm just crazy). No really, I sort of had my first crush on the lead singer guy...lol I'm just dying to watch it again and see what my tastes were back then.

I preferred all of the hanna-barberra stuff

Hong Kong phooey, Capt Caveman, the jetsons, yogi bear etc.

@FunDip

Sounds like Josie and the Pussycats.

No it definitely was not Josie and the Pussycats. The band was guys (of course one was nerdy, I think one had big hair, then there was the typical skinny hot lead singer)and a girl ,(think Flashdance crossed with Mia Sara from Ferris Buller's day off). They weren't animated in the very beginning of every show. Then they would start to practice and get warped to a cartoon world. It was all very 80's style music.

Darn after reading this entire thread I thought you guys were EXPERTS! If you don't know I'm destined to never find out (sigh).

Hey I just Tivo'd the hair bear bunch the other day ;)

Very true! There has been little that I can't find on there. I'm pretty impressed with my memory of the show. I find myself not able to remember anything anymore...

BTW I found used "collectable" VHS of Kidd Video. I bought all three. Unfortunately they are no longer reprinting and it is not available on DVD. Ah well...win some lose some. Can I tell you the BF was pissed I spent 60$ on three used/old VHS movies...mwahahahahahaaaaaa (maniacal laugh)

Anybody know any good places to look for old 80's cartoon episodes? Either VHS or DVD or downloads.
