1. What's the difference between 5120 and avangate-5120?
2. All you who are hammering Feng for changes, add this:
Stop using the Volume ID as the name of the directory in which the ripped interim files are stored. This technique disables you from using useful characters in the volume names that are illegal in directory names, such as "/"
illegal: JEEVES AND WOOSTER S1 1/2
BAD IDEA, Feng. See: AnyDVD.

Avangate is the purchased and official version I believe. The other the free trial. I could be wrong, but I noticed that difference in the free trials and also the Betas I think.

For those who are using DVDFab 5.1.2.0.
Do not use the VSO burning engine. Many users are having problems with this. It seems to create a BD folder for a DVD resulting in an unplayable disc. Change the burning engine to either ImgBurn or Nero.
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Cheers for the info, i saw you'd commented that it was buggy in another thread. I only burn manually with imgburn & nero so all's good here, but when i saw your other comment i've stayed with 5.1.1.8 beta for now anyways..

I only burn after I'm sure that what I have is what I want to burn. I never assume that the files are correct. I have to know. It would be nice if all these software packages did away with this auto burning crap. That's just my opinion.

Well there goes another clean uninstall of Fab to get rid of any bugs. I just did one to accomodate the new version too. I haven't used VSO since I started out w/1Click and DVD43 and of course after I was gratefully introduced to ImgBurn. Better off to back up a few and then use ImgBurn's queue to knock them out.

Another lovely update. Thanks again Dialysis.
Strangely enough, I have not updated since 5110, and have backed up all releases till now with that version.
I better get to updating, as I am falling behind.

I don't use VSO, but i'm glad that Fengtao and company got it rectified so quickly. Looks like they're trying to get a good jump at the Dark Knight as well.
Cheers!

You should really have both programs-I have both paid programs. Just get the free Fab decrypter. AnyDVD is pretty much all I use. It will usually git r done 100% of the time.

Are you stalking me? And cool it with the mister stuff. :) LOL You should be able to put Batman disc in and rip it with AnyDVD by the time you get the disc. I don't remember which side of the pond you are on. The left side doesn't get it (ever), until next Tuesday. Then use what ever program you normally use to fit it on a SL or a DL disc.

You're so nice garmoon. lol... Was that side of the pond thing a pun or was it really related to one's region? I have to admit you're sig/avatar is one of the most unique I've seen. Maybe there's some truth to the bad boy syndrome.
I'm having a blast on here n w/the holidays. I think today I'm going to the mom n pop store that usually comes out w/the new releases early n becoming a member. Not that it's a rush as I could wait, but just to see that baby getting cracked. I think I know what I'm treating myself to this xmas. Guess?
