gm, very very nice sauce.

Off topic I know, but when cooking acidic foods such as tomato sauce, best done in a multi layer stainless steel (18/10) pot as Allclad and not in Aluminium (even anodized types as Calphalon). Possibility of leaching the aluminium out. Possible link to alzheimers (over long periods) has been reported in scientific literature.

Non stick coating has and seen cracking and allows leaching of aluminum.

Best is to stay away from aluminium.

I prefer All Clad (pricey I know)

thankee luv!! :D

btw I use either stainless steel or Magnalite brand. NO exposed aluminum, Teflon coated tho, and now that you've scared the crap out of me I'll be getting rid of it sooner than I wanted. :P

....gm

recipe:
I cheated a bit as I use one of the big cans of spaghetti sauce for a base BUT I stick in all my ingredients to really make it good. :P

1 large onion - diced
8 oz of sliced mushrooms
1 lb hamburger
small package of sliced pepperoni (quartered)
garlic
salt
pepper
oregano
and whatever you wanna add to make it yours. :)

preheat pan, add oil then onions and fresh garlic. Saute until almost done (just before they turn clear), add spices and hamburger (thawed of course) and brown. Add sauce and bring to boil, add pepperoni and mushrooms, reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes. Gotta get that flava infusion!!!! :D

Hopefully you know how to cook spaghetti noodles and have them ready when your sauce is ready.

Turn off heat scoop over noodles and devour!!!! :D

You can't beat a well seasoned black cast iron pot and they do not cost an arm and a leg of lamb. Feel like I'm on the Wheel. LOL

My wife's cream puff's look exactly like those. Someone stole her recipe.

How bout the real deal?? All clad cookware for cheap. ;)

I say cheap in a humorous way. :P I know it's the best from what I've read and the deal seems pretty good to me. :D

Teflon ( poly tetrafluoroethylene) over aluminium.

If the teflon skin breaks, can get aluminium into food , aluminium has been linked to alzheimers

The article didn't mention anything about dyslexia Garmoon :P

For whatever reason putting the Calphalon into the dishwasher voids the warranty. I always handwash (even under protest) after using the pots and pans as well as only use plastic/nylon utinsils when cooking with them.

I think that Aluminum cookware is the least of our worries. lol. Look at the products that have aluminum in them that we use every day or on a weekly basis!

OK.... where's the food at???

Loco, the dishwasher detergent reacts with the anodizing causing destruction of the anodized layer. Apparently hand dish washing soap does not react with the anodized layer.

do you mean ten inch pole? that seems like a short pole to me. i've always heard the reference to 10 foot pole. sorry for the misspell of your name.

McGreg08 you make me laugh. Use google and see what you get. DON'T blame it on me tho. OH and btw.. you need to go ahead and try a Texas chicken fry for breakfast some day. You might need to bring along your gf tho.... hehehehee. She might know what to do with something so "big". :D
laugh? why? i used Google and still didn't find anything about dild. i looked up whatever iluvendo was talking about and don't understand what pain medicine has to do with the conversation we were having. i still think you guys are messing with me. sorry turkeys!

i got the "big" reference and that's not nice mr. i can't let her read this stuff, you guys are a bit dirty i think.

iluvendo you are without a doubt a very disturbing individual. for some reason you remind me of my dad tho. i'm thinking that's your picture holding the pastrami sandwiches. those have to be bad for you, honest they do.

iluvendo you at least provided some fruit on your waffle pic. someone with a passion for fruit like myself. woo-hoo!

the cream puffs look great, i do enjoy a sweet now and then. but that smoked prime rib is just way to much. ewwwwwwwww.

1bondhead i agree with you. iluvendo is a celebrity around the food thread. haha.

golly that sandwich should feed 4-5 people. i like the turkey and swiss, good for you.

nice spaghetti sauce greensman, not enough veggies for my liking and the meat could be replaced with some turkey hamburger and the pepperoni with turkey pepperoni or don't use it at all. just an idea for something more healthy.

thanks for the ideas and pictures guys and gals. great fun on this thread.

it's just a hobby
