Hi all, after how we always get sidetracked talking about food somewhere here on this site, I decided to start a thread devoted to food, of any type, as long as it is delicious. So as the GM would always say some thing about steaks, here's my entry
Dedicated to the GM, a gourmet of meats
20 oz ribeye steak, first heavy smoked for about 1-2 hours (cold smoke), then grilled over high heat to medium rare. Topped off with melted butter.
Buttered cut corn on the side
Washed down with some good iced tea
sliced pineapple for dessert

I really have nothing to add as steak is the bomb and you prepared it to the perfect, medium rare. Never tried the smoke on a steak though, may have to look into it.

I would take chocolate cream pie for dessert.
Also, have some melted chocolate to dip a few pieces of steak in. (Yeah...I'm a chocoholic.....and I refuse to beat my addiction!!)

Just looking at that makes me want to go to Walmart and buy some steak. lol. Yep and cook it right now!!!! :P
OH the smoke flavor is GREAT ferguj1!! You have to try that sometime. :) I'll say one thing, knowing where iluvend hails from (cali) and his "working" background he is a refreshing "lover of good meat" in the crowd of health gurus in the land of "fruits and nuts". LOL. :P

One big ole T-bone steak marinaded overnight in beer, terriyaki marinade, Lawry's seasoned salt (the only acceptable kind, IMHO) and Montreal Steak Seasoning.
Grilled on an open flame for seven minutes a side. (rare, but not bleeding)
Mashed potatoes with an artery clogging amount of REAL butter.
And fried okra on the side.
Washed down with a couple of Blue Moon's.

#1 McDonalds combo with no onions and extra pickles...Orange drink (not soda pop, orange drink :)
#6 Taco BEll Combo with soft shells and pinto's and cheese!
LOLOLOLOL!!!
Seriously though, this is my first real experiment growing a VEGETABLE garden, its that time of year my habenero peppers have been ready for a few weeks and my cayenne peppers are turning from green to red so they are nearly ready. I will dry them, crush them, and use them as a pepper rub for ribs and chicken or anything that needs a little zing! I also planted some purple bell peppers and they are very sweet, have tossed them with ground beef in various tomato sauces for pizza/spaghetti.
It just seems to taste better knowing I grew it myself.
