I've done this step by step and it keeps saying that its not a ps2 disc....any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
I'm using the tutorial thats posted and the xps file from game faqs....
For the dummy file I'm just using the save file again and renaming to DUMMY and then fixing the lba to 30000

I tried using this method to burn save games to a CD-R. Everything seems to work except the game won't recognize the same file. (Although on the memory card it just look any other working save file) Later on I found out the actual save file has a lowercase s as the file name. But cdgenps2v3 will always make all the filename uppercase. (therefore my save file doesnt get recognized) Anyone have an idea to get around it?

What I'm I doing wrong? Newbie here....
1. I'm getting a Disk Read Error after trying to boot the CD-R with the PS2. All the files are on the CD, with the DUMMY file changed to 30000. I saw the reply..."also, a cheapo cd-r will not read in my ps2, i use taiyo yuden discs". Could that be the problem?
2. Do I need Swap Magic, mod chip or any other sort of loader to load this newly created CD-R. Will the Slide gizmo work (from the Exploitstation...A slide card is a simple tool that allows you to open the PS2's DVD drive without pressing the eject button)?
Not sure what to do to get beyond the disk read error.
Thanks

Can you just trasfer the .nfo file to the memory card via FTP (assuming that you have FTP setup and can see the memory card over the network)?

I'm having trouble getting my burned CD-R to boot. When I swap the disk using Action Replay, my ps2 goes crazy. Instead of trying to read the disc normally, the reader keeps increasing up to an insane speed, and then cuts out. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried a single save state with a dummy file, and multiple save states with no dummy file. Thanks in advance.

I bought Codebreaker for $15.00. Downloaded the save file and put it on a USB key. Loaded up Codebreaker, put the USB key in the PS2 and transferred it over. You can use Codebreaker for other cheats and stuff but it allows you to access the USB ports.

Nice guide,I got it to work no problem on a crappy Memorex CD,now I have the NCAA Football 06 and College Hoops 2k6 fully named Rosters.
Edit~
Well,I thought I got it working. It puts the file on the memory card but when I try to load it in College Hoops 2k6 it says the file is damaged.
Anybody know what the problem is?
