Does anyone have a "ready to burn" Gamesave for Socom3? I'd be happy to host it on the web with credit to the person whom prepared it and a line back to them...

Or is there one already hosted somewhere?

I used the one from:

http://www.cmgsccc.com/games.php?do=view&id=5430

saved it to a usb key then used Codebreaker to transfer it from the usb key to the mem card. The saved game unlocks everything :-)

Yea I've heard its easy to use code breaker for this but I dont have one and find that a blank disk is cheaper in the long run... I tryed using this guide before but I think I had a cheepo' disk that the PS2 didnt read... Ill see what turns up here and if needed I can redo a save and get it ready to burn and then host that...

Anyone have one ready to burn....?

Sounds good. Yea, the codebreaker is easy to use and cheap. I gave up trying to make a cd then got codebreaker. You can also use codebreaker in reverse to save saved games off the mem card to a usb key to free space or to archive. Good luck.

Yes codebreaker again seems like the easiest methode but I dont have a usb key... I have a HDD for my ps2 so even when the maps do come I'll not need to buy one... Can you just burn the stuff to CDR for use with codebreaker...?

I still have my fingers crossed that someone has on ready to burn.... :)

I don't know if you can use a CDR or not to transfer. I would suspect not though.

A dummy file is exactly as the name implies. It is a file which is a dummy. It is not needed, just stick in a file of any size (obviously within reason to fit on the disc) try a TV episode or something, something quite large, it's so the PS2 laser can read it better.

@dillio12
You should be burning the cue file, which contains information about how the image needs to be burnt

@rvdstylz
You need modchip or swap magic to get this to work

I think the best way to copy a game save is not to burn the save to a CD, but instead run uLaunchELF from CD, and copy the save using a USB flash though.

You could try a differnt KIND of game same.

To the other guy that wanted socom 3 save, I have the MDF and MDS files for it you need alchol 120 to burn to cd, then just follow the guide to get the info onto your card.

PM me your info and I will send them

Go to www.amazon.com and do a search on Codebreaker. It's made by Pelican. It's about $20. You can look on ebay also.

I used it strictly for uploading a saved game for Socom 3 from the codebreaker site. On the CB site, you can get CB cheats or saved games. After you load the CD, it allows you to save saved games to and from the memory card to a USB key.
