I want to know also. But for ps2 save transfer I use codebreaker; you can do any of your ps2 memory card saves with that and a usb jump drive. But I want to know how to transfer ps1 saves via pc to ps card?? Without dexdrive!

Hi there. I'm new to the gaming world, which is going to be more than noticable when I am finished with this posting. lol.
I have been trying to make a game save CD for Resident Evil 4, I followed the instructions found on http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/cd2mem but it doesn't seem to matter how I try it I always get a message saying to Quote: Please Insert a Play Station 2 disc or a Play Station 2 Format Disc.
I have no idea what I am doing wrong here, and I have no clue as to what to do to fix this matter. Is there any way to save a game save on my computer & use a USB cord to put it on the memory card? Or is there any way someone could help me figure out why this CD method is not working for me?
I appreciate any help I get on this.

lady kat get codebreaker and flash drive(usb memory pen). Both you can get from walmart for about 20$ each. Make sure you format that pen drive fat32. Thats in properties at the my computer srceen. Then just follow codebreaker through and you shouldnt have a problem putting saves to/from pc to ps2 vic versa.

Get Codebreaker like Daxsmoker says. Real easy to go from USB->PS2 or PS2->USB.

I justed used Codebreaker. Go to www.codebreaker.com and you can see if there is a saved game, then you can download it, put it on a USB key, then used the Codebreaker utility to transfer it to a mem card. I used it for Socom 3 to get all the unlockables. The saved game worked great.

You could use the SM cd to start it, but there no reason. Just do codebreaker first then you SM cd/dvd. But I cant get FFXII to work when I use Codebreaker/SM DVD. Does any one no whats up with that?

I have the same problem that I had months ago (I didn't solve it)...
I do all the process correctly but when I try to load the file the game won't recognize it, but the file is actually in the memory card...I try with different kind of savegames, codebreaker, max drive, sharkport and x-port, the files are from gamefaqs.
I think I'm not doing anything wrong, but the game don't find the savefiles, have I to change the name of the files or something???

It's much better to use USB flash drives to transfer saves, using cd-r's are just a waste, a save is like 800kb why would you waste a perfectly good cd-r on a few 800kb saves :(

When u use the USB flash/thumb drive- how do you convert an online saved file so that it's readable by the PS2 system? I've tried converting it to .npo, but it still doesn't work.

Yea, i followed the link you gave me and my PS2 gave me a Disc Read Error. I'm not sure it's because i'm using different versions or what. I am using PS2 Save builder v0.8 and Nero express. Everything works fine until I try to load it in my console.
Does it require moding?

Pretty straight forward instructions, all in all. The only thing it glossed over possibly is that to boot the disk you made, you need to either have a mod chip, swap magic, or someway to boot backups. I know they mentioned it at the top, but it should of been added at the boot part.

i've a ps2 (v14) and swap magic 3.6. but i haven't Memory Card.

i need to save my game status...can i do that in an usb pen??? without a memory card?
