Have you tried running AnyDVD using the programs Safe Mode feature, AnyDVD will then use a compatibility mode. Intervideo products will not run while you are using AnyDVD but after you are done you can then turn the Safe Mode off.
9mmruger1 and creaky: thank you for your info on "DVD Fab". Does it do anything different than "DVD Decrypter"? Is it more encompassing than "DVD Decrypter"? Can it decrypt the "Sony" encryption? Just some thoughts I wanted to get out there for your input. Another question, If "DVD Decrypter" is not being run BUT is on my hard drive, have you found any confliction with "DVD Fab" and "DVD Decrypter" when running "DVD Fab"? Lots of questions but I've got the right people to ask these questions - you guys are top notch - thanks Ronnies
i don't know anything about dvdfab yet myself, as only used it twice (last night) out of frustration at not being able to to do 2 movies; i've seen it mentioned in loads of threads but have pretty much ignored it to be honest as i've not needed to use it before. but it looks like i'll be using it more often from now on...
i see arniebear talk about it now and then and i think 9mmruger1 does also
I have never found a conflict between DVDFab and DVDDecrypter. DVDFab is regularly updated for the newer encryptions so it should handle the newer sony blurbs. If it doesn't give it a day or two and it will. Arniebear is also on the right track recommending AnyDVD. I have this program (retail, so it costs money) but it is worth it.
DVDFab has a little different interface, but it is so simple to use. I also have it and use it for difficult, i.e., scratched, marred,DVD's that DVDdecrypter might have trouble reading. I really like it. The secret to all of it is to remember where you put the ripped files on the hard drive. The ripped files are the same as movie files are all the same. VOB's BUP's, IFO's etc.
