I really don't know. I'm at home I have a DSL connection and I tried re-installing the software again, I din't change any of the options or settings, everything is as it came out of the installer. (could you explain what a firewall is and how can I remove it if I have it?)

If I'm correct a router is a device used to hook 2 computers to the same Internet connection(correct me if I'm wrong), but if thats the case, no I don't have a router, I'm directly connected through my modem to SBC Yahoo! DSL. (I found out what a firewall is and I checked the settings on my computer, I don't have a firewall activated.

it's possible that SBC yahoo could have you behind a socks5 proxy, in that case you're just out of luck. are you able to send and receive with other apps like AIM and ICQ?

Hey! I just connected to the internet through AOL and the same thing happened. So the ISP could be out of the cuestion. If you think of anything please let me know. Thanx a lot for your time.

I don't know, I haven't changed anything since I downloaded IRC for the second time but I changed something in my windows settings and I was able to download a small test file from IRC but queues are so full that I can't test any more. But hey! that's a good thing right? I right-clicked the folder for mIRC and removed the Read-only attribute and changed some file sharing options. but till I get something bigger I'll be satisfied. I'll let U know of any outcome on this. And again THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your help and your time I appreciate it greatly. Oh! could you give some hints on proper DCC settings just to double check!??

try opening your dcc port range from 1024 to 5000. set autoget on, resume on. time out for send/get 120 seconds. if you get on (edit) and come in #(edit) i can send you a test file instead of waiting in que forever. - (edit) --- i'll be taking this down in an hour or so, i dont want a bunch of people in that channel.

i mean any burning software, like whatever program you use to burn cd's or dvd's. it should also burn the bin/cue. the bin is the image and the cue is just the layout on how to burn it (simplest way to put it). just open your burning software and act like you want to burn an image, then direct it towards your cue file, it'll do the rest.

That's the same one I used bun I couldn't make it work, well, I went to FILE,BURN IMAGE,and I burned the .cue file. It went through a burning process, It came out with an IMAGE file(I guess that's the default name)around 700Mb in Size. I saved it in my hard drive but still I wasn't able to see anything. What am I doing wrong?
