some of the titles on that list are still not "officially" cancelled. you should be able to play smackdown on your ps3. it just won't be the ps3 version. the main complaint would probably be the graphics and what not, but im not sure if THQ was going to release different versions of the game for the different platforms. i don't follow or get into this type of game.
i can see people being disspointed about not getting a ps3 version of the game, but i actually respect the company for not just throwing some pile of crap out on the shelf. so in essence you won't get the "next gen" version of the game, but actually for a lower price you'll still be able to play it. beggers can't be choosers

@Face123 Maybe at the Canada Best Buy, RE4 came out first for the PS2 and then second to the Gamecube, but not the rest of the world. LOL!!

Geez It doesn't matter re4 was still a ps2 game even though it was ported from the gamecube.This is all because of beeftaco.

@tycobb Thank you! He just dosent get it.. But I se he got banned. Probably for another stuid thing he said.
I guess capcom are the master's at making zombie games so I se why they would want to make a different game as well. They are diferent too cause resident evil is mainly a shotter and dead rising does all this other stuff too.

I'm not bashing error5 but i think that was just a bad site. It's almost like a rumour site and i think there are enough rumours for the ps3

Yeah me too. But if their going to delay a game it would be at leats acouple of month or if it's like being delayed for a month like gta iv because microsoft payed them off so they can have it a month earlier or at leats thats what I heard.

both the ps3 and 360 version of GTA IV will be released on the same day.

i'd rather have games delayed than released premmature with the idea that "patches/updates" will fix w/e problems gamers have. spending atleast $60++, thats the way it should be IMO.

PS3 comes out Novemeber of THIS year. GTA comes out October of NEXT year.

Well we all wish GTA came out this year. lol. If you have a 360 though, Saints Row is just as good and is coming out this month

I got dead rising today, it is so addicting and graphic. I feel sorry for the German who can't play the game because it was banned there.

Apparently the USK, the people who test the appropriateness of games, didn't like the way you can hack, slash, kill and maim the zombies. This is especially odd because a number of years ago the same group did approve the infamous game Carmageddon, in which you had to drive over people for points (although human pedestrians were replaced by zombies in the German version).
Censorship like that has been applied many times before on violent games in Germany, so the USK have most likely raised the bar on their standards when it comes to violent content. In a way it's pointless to ban the game from the shelves, because the people who really want to play this will just order it online or make a trip to their neighboring countries (Netherlands for example). Somehow I doubt that Capcom wants to replace their zombies with robots, it would ruin the whole game short of a rename to Dead Rebooting."
sometimes i don't understand the way systems work, and i agree that people will find ways to get the game
