I will obviously lie when I sell my PS3's. But do I really have to? People would buy them anyways even if I did put all the problems it had. Just look at this forum. I am telling people facts on what is wrong about the ps3 and what people who get paid to cover video games have said about the ps3 and I am getting attacked for it. I am not some microsoft lover coming on here saying ps3 sucks, blah blah blah. I was giving facts and getting flamed for it? What's up with that?? I didn't make this topic, i was simply adding to it

im not flaming you I have been aware of some launch problems I even stated half of what you said in my thread . I just wanted to prove its not just Sony that had them . really I am waitin this out like I did with my Ps2 , I want a 2 or 3rd wave Ps3 by then im pretty sure the problems will be fixed. its really up to the people buyin them at launch if you get it then chances are you might get a faulty unit but thats on you. most people dont care about it though and now for people that try to buy like all of them up and sell them I kinda wanna laugh at them for been greedy it seems everyone and there momma is buyin a Ps3 to sell,rather then lettin these kids who are workin hard standin in line to get one have what they want. I dont see a problem like with a few people sellin them like 2 or 3 now when people get more then 10 or a 100 then they pushin it. maybe this is a sign from God tellin people stop been greedy. I mean there are wayyyy too many people tryin to scam they kids it was too many on ebay that was very sad , maybe a hand full would be cool but the whole page is FULL of them. alot of grinches are gone be on Ebay this christmas

We really dont need your info on problems with the PS3 or any other console.If you know anything about first gen-console you would know that history not always good for first gen-consoles.But if this is the only problem they have found with PS3 i feel real relaxed about picking up my system tomorrow.This is alot better than Disc read errors.

@ DameDash I feel ya man ^>^ thats really the point it was tryin to make I never stated no kinda sh*t about which is better all I was proving was the 360 had problems , hell the ps2 had problems . it is what it is ,if you buy it at launch then take it like a man lol dont b*tch about the sh*t wait until second are third waves start poppin out. we need to start playin it smart although Sony should a had it right as much time the took so I see alot of people points on that

I did that search you said and found nothing.
Well thats a lie, i found a few articles about it dated Oct 5th or earlier... almost 2 months ago... I wonder why there aren't any articles after november 11th. I think sony shut them up about the overheating.
The only problem is the 200 or so games for ps1/2 that are having glitches which can slowly be fixed with firmware upgrades. 200 games? thats a tiny number. I'm 9 days in with my ps3, i've gotten this error. I called sony, they sent me a thing to replace it. I realized i never shut my ps3 off since my firmware upgrade, actually, i had never shut it off, only left it on standby. I shut it off for 2 mins, turned it on, havn't had the error for 3 days now.
You have to remember the ps3 is much closer to a PC than any system, it needs to be shut off/rebooted every once and a while (by switching the power off from the back, not the standby button that everyone loves to use)

Have any of you actually got a PS3 thets hear from the only people that matter on this subject the people that actually own one! There are olways going to be problems with every console that comes out but what kind of % are we looking at here? If sony bring out 400000 consoles and maybe 40 are faulty thats 0.0001% but you know all 40 of them will bitch so hard you would think 50% of consoles were no good. Anyway any one got any real figures or facts and does anyone own one?

I actually happedn to own one and haven't heard any consumer complints of if over heating, just about store systems having that problem. The problem is that there is not vitilation in the case that it's in and because of that the ps3 releases hot air and instead of taking cool air it will take the air it has been released same thing with the 360 but it still had problems with consumers or the ps1-2 games which will only need a firmwire update simple as that. I have been playing my ps3 8hrs a day since I got it the 17th without a single problem overall it has been a solid console then MS's 360. One thing that I would like to add is that if this was true from consumer it would have been in a solid news source and all over the web ex.(cnn news, ign, gamespot, or at the ps3 haters 1up.com) until then it's a bunch of crap.

No-hitter, you need a good flaming. I have 2 ps3's and have not had frame rate problems with tony hawk or any overheating problem either. I will tell you though if you set it next to something or on the carpet you will restrict airflow which will make it overheat. Have you held one in your hands? They weigh a ton and have a bunch of high powered hardware stuffed in a little shell. It is the same with high end computer hardware they need ventilation.
I don't know if you even read anything but microshaft press releases. Sony was easily able to counter the rumors that were spread in the media. All you have to do is read the reports sources to see they were all fabrication. Unless Bill Gaytes is your dad, stop hating something you have no firsthand knowledge of.

The allegation was made Macquarie Equities analyst David Gibson. Gibson himself admitted the cause of the problem was unknown - he suspects heat issues caused by the sealed cases in which each PS3 was placed to prevent anyone taking a peek inside the console, and the high temperatures experienced at the venue itself.
Alot of the articles you read on the net about overheating stem fron this guy and he admits himself its nothing to do with the console
its self.

Yes i think if you want to shift that crappy PS3 on Ebay you should keep the fact that putting 200 PS3 consoles in a non ventilated area in a hot venue for 12 hours could make them overheat. lol

That could be right , the fps thing, but yet I have not yet exprienced I have tony hawk P8 and nothing like that has happen or even COD 3 which ign has also said there has been a lag on this game. One thing though is that older hdtvs don't have HDCP(high bandwith digital copy protection) and that could be what's causing the problem even thought its it only 15fps.

Um, Read it again. This is a problem with the GAME. not the system... ... ... I think there will be problems with the ps3, but they won't show themselves right away like the 360 did.
My problem is im stuck with this damn 20gig package! 20 GB = too small and no wifi = teh gay. I want to stream music/videos to my psp anywhere in my house damnit! But anyway, Resistance still has me crazy hooked, if only it wasn't for these damn finals i have to do.
