It works fine on Internet Explorer. Just wait for the ad to finish, its probably because the QJ server was being viewed by a lot of people. Bandwith limit was probably exceeded.

Are you following this guide? And if you are just select Devhook 0.51 for 2.71 BETA and select your CSO and firmware 3.01 and hit start and it will work fine. Assuming you followed the guide.

If you didn't what firmware do you have?

I did follow the guide and all, before this I used HEN-C...

I got it to find my ISO...for some reason devhook .51 BETA for 2.71 looks for an ISO folder in the root of the memory stick..so I put it in there and now it finds it..but for some reason devhook .46 was much smarter since it wouldnt matter where you put your ISO it would find it...

now...I have a new problem and that is that Virtua Tennis 3 needs 3.03 instead of 3.01..
could you please make a guide for 3.03 or possibly a higher one so I dont have to worry about new games? :D please do..

Theres a guide on here for 2.71 that allows you to emulate 3.11. Though its not really a guide just Devhook and the 3.11 firmware dump.

Your probably better off downgrading. Then upgrade to 3.03 OE-C. It really isn't dangerous aslong as you follow readmes and stuff. If your runing a non TA-082 PSP then you can do it in like a minute easily.

Downgrading risks a 50/50 chance of bricking. It's not the person itself that bricks the PSP, (well, it can be but not always) even if you follow the instructions correctly you'll never be certain if you'll brick your PSP or not. I'm just happy with Devhook, I can play ISOs/CSOs and play homebrew. Though I wouldn't mind if Devhook allowed you to play PSX ISOs for free, but, I can always just buy em' from the Playstation store since my brother bought a PS3. :P

My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

Midnight I did use the guide from the other guy but for some reason it won't work?!

After I tell it to go to 3.11 it just stops reading from the memory stick and doesnt do anything...

so i still cant play that darn game...

Could you please try and make it work :D ?

Well i don't think you can say 50/50, because there was this forum vote thing on this UK site which invovled 1000 votes for sucessful downgrade and only 89 people bricked there PSP's and 911 people were sucessful. And im quite sure there really is no % for bricking your PSP. Its really hard to come up with a number.

Yeah im on to the custom firmware now, i just got sick of the .tiff exploit crashing and freezing, but i just made this for people who aren't interested in a possible brick.

For those of you who tried to emulate 3.11 by using my guide, you may have noticed that it didn't work. Well, I just found out the files I uploaded were specific to my PSP, but now it's fixed. So after you've successfully installed Devhook from using MidnightJ's guide, go to http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/473705 and learn how to emulate 3.11

Just follow PSPHobby's instructions after you've installed Devhook 0.51 for 2.71. His instructions were...
Originally posted by PSPHobby:
Download Devhook 0.52 http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/986 and 0.52 update http://dl.qj.net/Devhook-v0.52.0100-PSP/pg/12/fid/12993/catid/114 and extract it.

Now extract Devhook 0.52, open the MS_ROOT folder, copy all folder from dh EXCEPT 271 to YourPSP:/dh/ and fbm folder to PSP, overwrite.

Extract Devhook 0.52 update, open the MS_ROOT folder, copy dh to Your PSP and overwrite.

Now downloaded the Firmware 3.11 EBOOT.rar http://dl.qj.net/PSP-Firmware-3.11-PSP/pg/12/fid/12601/catid/163 and extract it.

Copy the EBOOT.PBP on to your PSP.

Now download DevHook Firmware Installer v0.6f http://dl.qj.net/DevHook-Firmware-Instal...13091/catid/151

Copy 4 folders from /1.5 Eboots/MS_ROOT/PSP/Game to YourPSP:/PSP/GAME

OK Now go game and go to Devhook Firmware Installer. Press Circle. (IT becomes reversed after enabling 1.50)

Now it should come up with a blue screen with white text telling you stuff. Press X to install it.

Under firmware select 3.11. And hit start.

Go to your system settings and it should be 3.11!

Note : The "o" and "X" will change function.
The o and x will be reverted meaning if you normally press x for something in a firmware, it will be o instead. I know it's o for enter and x for cancel in Japan and I think BOOSTER lives in Japan so it might have something to do with that. Anyways, when I emulate firmware 3.11, my x and o don't change function but I don't know why. Well, I know the only thing different I did from PSPHobby's instruction was the Devhook firmware installer. I just got a 3.11 firmware dump and placed it into the dh folder.

My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

Thank you very much. I got it from there yes. About Step 26 "26. OK shut down your PSP, enable HEN-D and go to, UNDER GAME, DEVHOOK 0.51 BETA for 2.71." Do u mean a full shutdown by holding the power button up???

Then by enabling HEN-D do u mean pressing on the HEN picture under PHOTO in the XMB???

Waiting ur reply
