hi all, i have the same problem (unable to write to memory stick) as well.....mine is genuine 2G SanDisk ultra II.....i tried formating it and start from very beginning, problem still exists....
btw, i want to get all the way up to 3.11, is that anything i can by-pass?

Hey midnight.... i know this topic is kinda old.. but can you turn this guide into a guide to emulate 3.11...
i know there is another guide here, but i dont understand it... using your guide... i emulated 3.01 with the first try (thx), but now i want to emulate 3.11.... u think you can update the guide... or is it going to be to hard..?

WOW, now i have another problem
on step 7

it says "failure to execute, not enough space blah... something about creating an OUT file... can you help... the first time i used this guide it worked well... now it doesnt... ive tried 2 times already... <_<

Sorry to be harsh but I give this tutorial a 4/10 simply because there is absolutely no solution posted to fix the 3.01 update error message. Nearly everyone including myself have had this problem and it's ridiculous that there is so many things missing out of this tutorial and so many unanswered questions/problems.

Hi, when I load "devhook0.51 beta for 2.71" the devhook loads but the purple options box in the middle soes not. Can u help me???

Just letting you guys know....
the tutorial to emulate 3.11 posted by PSPhobby has a problem
when you are going to SAVE a game
sometimes it freezes....

Copy 4 folders from /1.5 Eboots/MS_ROOT/PSP/Game to YourPSP:/PSP/GAME
OK Now go game and go to Devhook Firmware Installer. Press Circle. (IT becomes reversed after enabling 1.50)
Now it should come up with a blue screen with white text telling you stuff. Press X to install it.
Under firmware select 3.11. And hit start.
Go to your system settings and it should be 3.11!
Note : The "o" and "X" will change function.

Yeah it does freeze only because you put the PSP into sleep mode. If you do, you can't save. If you don''t, you can save,

that sucks...
anyways, thanks to pandoras battery, im soon going to update to 3.52 m33, im not scared anymore, lol
but im not doing that now..
lol
anways
can i delete the 301 update file..
it takes up freaking 21mb
