Ill just buy new disks. I use verbatim and never had a problem before.

One more question for ya. I use Shrink and I always have to scan the disk again to make another copy. Is there a way to just put a new disk in and copy the saved movie file, instead of starting over?


Also whats the dif. between dvd-r and plus R

Roxio could be under the name of Sonic or Record Now. I think there was even a version of WinAmp that used this Roxio driver too.
But yeah I'd pick up some Verbs instead.

Since Shrink also saves the movie to your hard drive no need to run it through Shrink again.
Before you delete it use Nero Express -Video/Pictures> DVD-Video option. Add the video_ts folder this way.
If you've already deleted it then put your copy back in and use the Image,Project,Copy>Copy Entire DVD option.

edit to add - -R are more compatible with dvd players esp. the older ones but +R can be booktyped to DVD-Rom which you drive supports and increases the compatibility w/ players. I would think Nero would automatically booktype to DVD-Rom with your drive when you use +R. It does on mine.

Not really - they use different manufacturers and not always good ones.
Stick with the Verbs - at least you know they're good and who made them - MCC - good stuff.

Taiyo Yuden is another great one - very compatible w/ drives. You can get them online from (US only) supermediastore

How bout Memorex?
The store that has the Verbs is closed so I have Imation or memorex...

Memerox is the same as Imation - uses different manufacturers and not all good.
But if you have them on hand go ahead and try them - I won't buy them though.

Ive been using Dynex lately too. I avg about 1 or 2 coasters from a 50 pack. Ill buy them or Verbs tomorrow.

Dynex same deal as Memorex and Imation - use many manufacturers so I'd steer clear of them too.
Take the guess work out and use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. You can get some good deals at supermediastore on the TY's and sometimes Verbatims.

Keep us posted on the new discs too (pick up the Verbs!)
