You don't need a UMD in the drive in a 3.40 OE-A. Just go to recovery menu and swich No UMD to on. You don't need a UMD in 3.71 M33-3

I'm a little confused now... =S The guide has been great so far, but when i try running pandora battery creator it shows a msg saying "The game could not be started" error (8002014C). Any idea what might be causing this? I'm currently on 3.71 M33 cfw.

You will need to install the 1.50 Kernel addon for 3.71 before you can run pandoras battery creator because that is a 1.50 software.

no, it isn't. Actually, the slim motherboard is not capable of running 1.50(I hate sony) But, u could use eLoader, which is a 1.50 emulator for the slim. Most of the homebrew progs. work with it.
GOOD LUCK!!

EEk, Help!

I am trying this on a new slim (3.6 fw) and everything was ok up until the step when I insert the pandora's battery into the slim and a menu is supposed to pop up. When I insert the pandora's battery, the slim DOES boot up but a menu doesnt pop up. It just boots up like normal. I try to run the pandora's battery maker from the menu and it wont run (I guess because of no 1.5 kernal). But what did i miss? The card is formatted in FAT and not FAT32. I used a 3.40 OE-A phat psp that I have (its a japanese one, does that make a difference?) and it worked fine up until I'm supposed to see a menu pop when I insert the battery. Any ideas?

Also, i wanted to ask if i can use my fat psp battery on slim and will it work? cuz i'm thinking of downgrading my friends slim psp.

You are supposed to use the Fat PSP battery on the slim and you need a wall charger to convert the battery back to normal.
how do you actually convert the Fat PSP battery back to normal?

You can convert it by returning to the battery creator then pressing L + R to flash your backup eeprom if you backed it up... in case not press [_] to flash a fake serial....(works as normal but may have side effects..)
