I briefly considered getting the BluRay of this one. But, not having a hi-def TV pretty much solved that dilemma. I'll buy the SD version and back it up as per normal.
Hey, everyone. Yeah, I've been busy lately. With the playoffs rolling around, things got very hectic at work (you can only imagine how it is this weekend-the last weekend before the playoffs). Thanks for asking though!
Anyway, it's ironic that one of the most anticipated titles on DVD/BR isn't giving anyone problems (as opposed to other titles that no one cares about but is loaded with encryptions).
Iron Man knows how to please!

I forgot this bit of info, but was the successful backing up of Ironman the 1-disk or 2-disk versions, as my 2-disk version is enroute.

Good question RTM. I think it's been pointed out before that sometimes there is a difference in encryption from single disc set to two disc or special edition. Right now I cannot think of the particular movie that was.
Some assembly required.

Wow, then it's more common place than I initially thought. Wonder if there is a difference between one and two-disc (special edition?) of Iron Man.
Some assembly required.

Had to. Wanted to make sure there was no mistake that I purchased it, instead of receiving it from the blockbuster neighborhood association or the netflix neighborly group.

Guys, let's please limit the off-topic posts, Iron Man (for example) and other movie ripping threads keep appearing in my inbox and too many of the replies are not due to newcomers with ripping woes.
I'm trying to persuade the DVB regulars to stop spoiling threads and some of you aren't helping matters.
I'm not out to stop the friendliness around here, but the odd off-topic comment here and there is way different to too many of our dvd ripping threads having off-topic comments outweighing the help given within.
Let's please keep our 'proper' forums from becoming the same as the DVB forums - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/506556/4291117

LOL. kidding. Is dvdshrink opensource? it would be interesting to converge anydvd and fab abilitys with the shrink.

Sorry about the prior off thread. I didnt think that iron man would be too encrypted. Most of the industry has given up on DVD's. Im sure bluray is completely ANOTHER STORY.

Good news. It's kind of funny that the movie we were expecting to be difficult can be ripped so easily. I'm picking mine up after work.

Just finished burning disc 1 to a DL disc. Things just went really smooth.
I dug into the IFOs to check on how good the authoring was. I can't remember when the last time was that I saw a rip this clean.
