Nope. DVD Decrypter, VobBlanker (to get rid of the previews and other garbage), DVDRebuilder, and ImgBurn. No problems at all.

Where is the fun in doing it the same way every time? If I wanted to take the short way I would have done the whole process with DVDFab Plat. then I could have talked about how you used too many programs. :)

These threads are started to let others know about the more popular movies coming out and if they are easy or hard to rip. One may have a hard time with a movie compared to another person. Those that have a multitude of programs rip the movie using different programs. There usually isn't only one way to rip a movie; there is usually several differnt ways.
Guess you don't want any movies to be listed in this section at all.

What do you mean way too many programs? You'll find that the regulars here like to try different methods. Most of us that post on a regular basis are concerned about one major thing: Making high quality back ups. For someone new to the game, these threads are helpful. There are quite a few good posters here that i can think of immediately that use a multi-step process to create their backups.
For quality it's not always what gets the job done, it's what gets the job done well.
Next time if you question whether or not a thread should've been started, perhaps you shouldn't post.

FUN? I use what works. Dvdfab runs 100% slower than dvdshrink. And i have a fairly Quick Computer. Built it myself ;) Rather confused about that come to think of it. Its a shame that Gpu's cant run some encode jobs. I read somewhere that a typical GPU "In a sense has 100's of Cores" Be an interesting experiment.

(import) acidrip.. easy. k9copy had a small problem.. solved by dropping the Mexican? subs.
As for multi step process.. The Covenant took me to play with vlc and record each menu screen.. then mplayer to rip the movie, and each extra thing (because I couldn't play the damn disk with vlc because of the duff menu entries) then screenshots from the menus to use as backgrounds.. followed by complete re-authoring using my own menu tree template. That's before we get to making an iso ;)
Don't rate this film anyways.. another chunk of propaganda. Bored of these type of films now.. I want a proper chick flick.
The person who says "high school musical" better watch out.. 3 things I hate.. schoolkids.. musicals.. and schoolkids in musicals... and disney... and disney schoolkid musicals.. oops.. that's 5 things. They should leave them on TV where they belong, and we can ignore them

We post on this site in an attempt to help others out. The various programs that myself and others use may not always be the quickest, but they yield good results. (most of the time!) And it shows those who may not have the same success what other programs are out there and available to them. Aside from these things, if you don't like what is posted then no one is forcing you to read it.

There's really no need to be offensive. As you said, "We post on this site in an attempt to help others out." My saying that FAB runs a bit slower is merely my experience, my objection. That may not hold true to others. INFACT, ive recently scouted the program a little more and might be using it on a more regular basis.

No one is being any more offensive than you were when you questioned the usefulness of this thread and the methods contained within it. The purpose is to give different ways of backing up the movie(s) in question with various methods. At any rate let's keep the discussion positive and leave everyones attitudes at the door.

..just be thankful you people on that side of the pond have this film already, those of us here in Region 2 (which is translated to 'usually get movies months later than in the States') have to wait a bit longer to get our paws on this disc :)

Yep...especially some of y'alls tv shows I like.
When MI-5 (Spooks) came out, It was hard for me to find region 1 disks...and they would't ship region 2 to the states.
Ultimate Force....same thing. Took a while before I found one on e-bay with region 1 disks for sale.
A few others I like....and not many are made into region 1 disks. I have the movie 'Goal!', and 'Goal 2' won't be released here for a few more weeks....while 'Goal 3' will be released in theaters overseas, and hardly anywhere here. Just depends on the movies and shows you're looking for, may take a while till it comes out on dvd.
