Ok not sure what you use to boot backups, but I use Swap Magic to load uLaunch.elf
Once uLaunch is loaded you will see a screen similar to this if you are using the ones I have.

Now I have ulaunch set on mine to use X on gamepad to select, and O to cancel.

So just use your diagonal pad to arrow down to Filebrowser, then you would choose Misc, by pressing X, then HDD Management and then Select R1 and then Create Partition.
To copy files in ulaunch you only need to be on the file, hit R1, choose copy, then browse to the drive or partition, and hit R1 again to choose Paste.
If you need more help, let me know.
If you need Ulaunch 4.12 or 4.08, I have both. just click my name to the left and go to my folder. Burn them to DVD.

All in all I'm not too MUCH of what everyone calls, a "N00B" but I have a 200 GB HD and HD advance 3.0 I have other irrelevant customizations but it doesnt matter in this case I'm tryin to get a working genesis emu booting off my HDD with roms and for some reason i never got into the memory card exploits (whats up with this exploit anyway?) so i dont have much knowledge of the only from i know of way of getting doing this like with the code breaker or somthing i dont have this as well is there any one that can help with this?

Genesis Emu boot off of an HDD in anyway at all.

and addition to that i'm tryin to boot emu's from hd advance and using maybe winhiip i'm thinkin of lookin into gettin pgen to be recognizable to HDadvance i can do it but i havent yet been able to get the roms recognized as said earlier in this thread maybe sombody or I will be able to make or tweak an emulator that will be specificly to hd loader/advance?

People run exploits mainly to save a step of loading disks and run directly from the mc, and those who have modchips and hdd's.
Just look up exploits for ps2 in the search.

Here is a guide to run Pgen off the hdd.

Hey I'm back it worked great thanks , now that you are the All Mighty God of my ps2 forum help lol , I thought I'd ask another Q

I'm trying to run mame the same way I did SNES station , is there a way ? because when I do it and load the .elf it freezes at the ps2newz.net screen

Your very welocme, lol.From what I have read Mame has to be run from the CD, sorry or from Naplink.

Aight , so that idea's a bust bigger than a pornstar !!!

So the Emu that I found that work off the hdd are...

SNESstation
Pgen
infoNES
and the PCE emu

Anymore ?

I thought it would be kewl if it worked but it doesnt , I tried to make the disc and then play it from the cd section of uLAUNCHELF

I use Dlanor's InfoGB for Gameboy games on my USB hd or one can make a CD of them also.

anyone knows how to run snes station on multi-media card(MMC/miniSD/micro-SD? i'm asking coz i have spare 512mb mini sd from my n93 (i bought 2gig miniSD and that makes the complimentary 512Mb unused now).
well i tried formatting my sd into fat32, loaded snes station on it, created rom folder and loaded tons of roms on it and connected it onto ps2 usb using card readed but nothing works.
please help on what will i do?
if snes station won't work in that procedure, are there any emulators that will work in that way? i prefer neogeo-cd, imbNES or dreamcast emulator (if there is).
i'll be waiting for any reply. please help..

You would need to have your PS2 modded first in some manner, and then either use uLaunch to browse to the USB drive and load your SNES.elf, or have AR MAX with media player to be able to see the USB flash drive.

YYYeeeeaaaap, that's how I got mine, I load my NES roms from chip, ToxicOS w/DMS4 Pro menu Tab where I can browse my diferent storage devices including CD, MC0, MC1, HDD, USB. Hope this helps ya out!

well i had my ps2 modded but i don't know if i am on the right track with what i'm doing with my miniSD! here's what i did: i downloaded the snes station with usb support (i downloaded it somewhere but i can't remember where) formatted my miniSD to fat32, installed snesstation on the main folder, created rom folder and loaded zipped roms. is that right? what are the files that i need to download/install aside from snes station and where should i put those files? what's this ToxicOS w/DMS4 Pro thing?

guys thanks for all your help! well anyway, a friend whose now working abroad sold this ps2 to me coz he's leaving and we have no contacts now but i think it's modded with a modchip. but it doesn't have the usb browser like what you're saying. if i open the browser menu, only the cd player and memory card menu is opened. is there any other way that i should do aside from buying AR MAX? if none, what action replay should i buy/use?

Ok then since its a modded PS2, then you could download uLaunch 4.12 DVD ISO from my folder(click my name to the left and go to my rapidshare folder) then unzip it, and burn the ISO to DVD.
Once you boot uLaunch, you can then go to filebrowser, and then go to usb mass. If its recognized you will then see your SNES.elf and be able to launch it. Let us know if that works out for you.

i have no dvd writer, cd writer only. are there any iso for cd? how should i burn it, by nero iso burner?
