the best thing you can do is download the ifa program (it comes with an instructional pdf) and the flash image (im gonna try commando 7 x 2 as i think it will be less complicated)
you need win rar too unzip the folders too dont forget.
from there you should be able to follow the instructions.
although i managed to flash commando 7.5 x 2 to my box successfully it still didnt have any channels.

Hi Koi_Hai
i said already ... the procedure to flash a new image(commando x.xx) onto your dbox2 is fully explained on page 6 of this thread.

if you follow the instructions exactly..you will not have any probs wotsoever.but good luck anyways ))))
caldoor...try getting a services.xlm file for your area and put it in the dbox dir .. tuxbox/config/zappit folder

Hi everyone
is there anyone in the w.yorks area to help me with my dbox2, its lost all the channels and I don`t know how to recover, doing a scan gets nothing. please if anyone out there can help I will cover your fees if you can show me how to flash an image and recover all the channels again. cheers Allan

allan when u do a scan be sure to use bruteforce uk..and set fastscan to off..

never mind..sorted it..
commando 7.5 looks really good.
question..
when i FTP my box...i backup the image on the DBOX...when i transfer the image to my laptop it takes way too long..10 hours !!!
why is this happening..i have tried diferent FTP proggys..all do the same .. ??

Hello, tried flashing a dbox 2 today and it ket saying on the box 'Kein System' ? does anybody have any idea what is wrong ? regards.

the only way to flash this dbox now is by using IFA ..

· Turn off DBOX
· Start IFA Application
· Choose Drive where you have the Image you want to flash
· Choose the right network Card where the DBOX is connected to
· Choose if you have a nullmodem Cable and what Com Port
· Click Start
· On Windows XP SP2 you now need to click unblock on the firewall Popup
· PLEASE IGNORE ANY MINIMIZED WINDOWS AND ESPECIALLY
"pinging failed" !!!!!
· Power your Box up and the Software does the Rest
· Display will say Flashing whilst Software is transfered and then Flashing
Done after about 2 1/2 Minutes or about 10 minutes on a Sagem 1x Dbox

ps.. any1 using commando 7.5 u will need the magic files to use ALL the cams.
also i think still a little buggy yet..hang fire for a decent release. ( it looks great )

Hi chris0612 Iv had my d box for a few years now but last september the front row channels stopped working. Is this because ntl realesed the VOD service or because I need it re programmed?
