Wait, can you just use brick blocker, and then you won't get the duplicate channels and not semi-brick your Wii? Or do you have to use the update, so that you will get DL support on the wii?

no i did nothing to the game, just downloaded burned it and played, it did the update and everything is great i didnt brick block it because i tried that but it wouldnt work and i didnt regionfrii it either, just played it thats it

I have usenet and only the first 6 rar files are up.

i have an original launch day wii with wiikey installed. I cant remember the name but it is the easiest console to install the wiikey on and its a PAL wii.

I thought about that too...and im worried about it but I also think we'll just have to press start as fast as we can when they game begins. Also semi-bricking. That's starting to worry me a little. I have a Jap Wii with Wiikey 1.9g. I heard that Brawl doesn't work because it has no dual layer support. Would the Azumi torrent Brawl work on my system? If it does can I do the update off of the single layer game then play the real copy? If not can I load the single layer then swap with the real copy. I know this is a lot of questions at once but I really want to now. I'm getting a copy of Brawl on Monday. If anybody has the equipment for trying anything I stated above could you let me know or has anybody tried this yet?

there is only a single rip of the game out there at the moment put it onto a normal dvd. the double layer game has not yet been released

I have a US wii with a US wiikey installed on firmware 1.9g and the wii with the latestfirmware. I will probably use the regionfrii tool just to be sure that my game loads...I only want to be able to play vs mode for now. I will buy the hardcopy of the US version since it is a lot of trouble currently to burn and play it.
Also I think you can get a save when it is uploaded at wiisave.com
They have a lot of saves on there so Brawls will eventually pop up.

it wont work brickblocker damages the game, it wont load after selecting the disk channel

ok, so here is the scoop for everyone still looking.
there is no direct linking here, so start by going to efnet.ogg, join any room, then enter /join #alt.binaries.games.wii
this is for usenet users mainly. But there they can offer the link to the NBS or the search from binsearch.info and use maybe Dairantou_Smash_Brothers_X_INTERNAL as the search term
Start the leech and get it done.
Now you need to burn 2 copies, one with brick blocker, one without (use a search engine to find their homepage if you need it still). Insert the non brickblocked version first, and accept the update, when it is about 10-15% completed, unplug the wii. Start again, but this time with the bblocked version. This avoids a "semi brick" that causes you to duplicate channels on the main wii screen. Even without this, people think it will be a solvable problem with the US Brawl update.
