I had the same problem before it was down to my coaxil, I cut it back an inch at where it enters the back of my box and that cured it, also make sure your wire at the back isnt pulling at the socket I would give that a try before doing anything too drastic.

Use the 28/04/08 firmware but also get an 8Db attenuator this should solve your problem. You may need to do a factory reset and powerscan or CDF will do.

Hi again all,
re: signal problem 80% jumping down to 10% every few secs on a eurovox dvb with April update.
Well I tested the box connecting cable and attenuator at a friends house who lives locally - all works perfectly. Which leads me to the sad conclusion that there must be a problem with a) the local cable box on the road (altho neibours have no problem) or b) the line into my house. I have no idea why it would suddenly not work. (eg. had no gardening work done or anything..)
Anyone any other ideas... otherwise I'm shit out of luck!

Yeah. Tried everything suggested. Still no joy. :(((
All I can think is that some bozo nudged out my connection from the street box while connecting someone else. I know the box and cable work fine. So frustrating.

go to the eamo site and download the dublin cdf file if you are in dublin only and put that on your box if you are having problems scanning your box

just scousers i dont need the other one???????
do i just upload the file or do i need to download it save it and then upload etc etc

you need the firmware for your box red / blue is the 21/4/08 firmware black is the 18/4/08 and when you have the firmware on your box then put the cdf file on ok onle put the cdf file on if you live in dublin only

you load it to your box the same way as you flash the firmware with the cable with the loader ok

can you please help me i dont understand. i have the cable to flash my computer female to female but my laptop doesn't have connection for this, so i got connection for USB port but my laptop still doesn't find my eurovox. is there software to make my laptop read that my eurovox is connected.PLEASE HELP!

hey lads...flashed a eurovox black today no problems but the second one had no power...i know its not the power cable cos i used it on the first box...any ideas?is it fubar??

Had it got power before flash. If not and its a Max V under warranty, better off sending it back rather then investigating further. i.e. C14 check, PSU voltage check, hard reboot, jtag route. And the list goes on.

hey scouser...didn't even get a chance to flash it...when i plugged it in to start there was nothing...dont know about the warranty to be honest...i doubt it...think he got it from a lad he knows who buys a load and sells them on.sounds like its for the bin to me!
