People, before you go out and buy this program, I would like to give my 2 cents, I have been backing up DVD's for years now. DVD shrink was all I needed until the author stopped supporting it, and I still use it to shrink programs, then I turned to dvddecrypter to remove protection and dvdshrink to shrink it.
For months, whenever there is a tough movie to copy, someone always jumps in and says "Anydvd will do it". I tried anydvd 1 time and it didn't work and haven't messed with it since because there was no need.
Read these forums and get all the info and if you have to wait til someone figures out a way around the problem. I admit madagascar is the first program in a long time that is hard to copy but if you stay the FREE route, you will enjoy this hobby much more.
So, everytime you have trouble, and that newbie jumps online and says he had no problems when he used Anydvd. Just search around and be patient, someone else will admit that ANydvd didn't work, and sooner or later you'll get it copied with someone elses helpful post.

Your point to have people search and read the post(s) here is good, BUT many who've tried using the tools you refer to have considerable problems and just want a quick and easy way to resolve their issue(s). AnyDVD is one of the more popular ways of doing so. OK, it didn't work, "The One Time" you used it, but for the other numerous people who use it, it saves steps, time and a headache. Please, the next time you post, try to be a little more constructive. You're welcome to your opinion, but there are those who prefer quick and easy. By the way, I too use DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter and DVD Fab Decrypter as well. I use a number of progs to do the various tasks in DVD. Hopefully, you'll just join with us in AD and help those who are less knowlegeable.

Sorry you had bad luck w/ AnyDVD. Once I added it to my arsenal along with Shrink and Decrypter I haven't had an issue once. I spend a little more on excellent media than I would running down to Wal-mart and buying memosux. Those few pennies I may save on buying crappy media would defninitely not add to my enjoyment. AnyDVD is a simple and very effective program and I have not regretted purchasing it at all. If anything it added to my enjoyment of this hobby and will for some time to come!

I have been able to copy every movie I have attempted with AnyDVD seems if its not working for you there must be something wrong with your System config creating a conflict
I was able to use the following Programs to create a working Backup
CloneDVD,DVD Shrink, Nero's Recode (same author) and even DVDXCOPY Platinum and it never worked like it should have so I cant buy your claims when it comes to AnyDVD since I have been using it fo close to 2 years without an issue
The Programs that you are using are old and No longer updated so people are going to have alot of problems and get very frustrated Most people want something that is fast and easy to use and Slysoft has provided this
As for the Newbie comment last time I looked under my Screen Name it said Senior Member

Yes, when ppl come online and say AnyDVD worked on a problem movie, it may seem like a short answer, but IT WORKS, and ppl are looking for an easy solution most of the time. You can defeat Sonys Arrcoss by going in to shrink and messing around with a protected sectors list and defeat it with shrink alone. Many ppl don't want to dig around in the programs that much. I haven't tried it yet because i have AnyDVD, and it works on EVERY movie i have tried, including the problem ones. Your only choice if you don't want to use AnyDVD, and don't want to figure out protected sectors list, IFO edit, VOB blanker, PGedit, and a host of other programs, is to use DVD FabDecrypter. It and AnyDVD are the only two programs out there that are constantly updated to hande the newest anti-copy tricks.
When a new protection comes out, you may have to wait a week or two for the free fixes to be listed. Ppl always figure a way around these things. I know slysoft had a fix for Lords of Dogtown, before i could even get my hands on a copy to try to crack. Once the movie came here, i copied it using AnyDVD and DVD Shrink with no problems (and i was expecting problems from all the posts on this movie).
AnyDVD has never given me a problem, and like davidw001 said, if anything AnyDVD has made this hobby more enjoyable.
