I've been on here for ages, seeing no problems here; the last reply i saw on the build thread (i'm guessing you mean Loco's build thread) was from the young man himself earlier on...
edit- your reply in the build thread just popped up while i was typing :)

Haven't noticed anything like that over here myself. All the servers seem to be running fine, too.
If the problem is still on, could you please provide a traceroute to i.afterdawn.com. TIA!

Yet still, everytime something seems to be funny at aD, instead of just waiting, open command prompt and run tracert to i.afterdawn.com and post the log here or to Ketola / me via PM. Helps us to find out if there are any routing problems, etc.

Yep. Only exception to this are the download servers that are distributed to several ISPs, some of the are in Netherlands, some in States.

Apparently Russia and China had a little bit of a ddos episode over the weekend. Looks like the UK caught the worst of it with our outdated infrastructure. My connection was out most of sunday/monday, so I gave up and went getting a life instead ;) At one point even running my own DNS server wasn't getting me any connection at all.. 95% packet loss.
Situation normal again, panic over

I've been having problems with this site all day. Started around 2 o'clock or so. Pages no longer there or just to busy, I dunno. Not been able to get to the news section, the main forums, or the profiles.
Here's something that I was directed to when trying to get to the profiles.

Sorry about all the problems. They are being caused by a variety of reasons (load balancer errors, disk IO bottlenecks on caches etc.), and I'm working on resolving them.
The problems have surfaced thanks to very high traffic surge to the forums. No way of knowing the limits without pushing them. Nothing a little bit of optimization wouldn't fix. =)

Yea, I've experienced problems like this before, but nothing this heavy and for so long.
But I guess this is a good thing, lots of traffic means more revenue...

Yup, I'm still having the same problems. It's starting to become very annoying. I post something, that times out...I try to read the news section, that times out.
Hell, I hope this goes through.
If I click page 27, this is what I see..
