I have tried everything on this movie and can't get a full disc to encode and burn just the main movie which sucks because I like to put everything on the disc.

When you have AnyDVD running in the background and insert a dvd into your drive it will automatically run and strip the encryptions.I don't know why some people say that they got it to work when I follow the same steps they have and I have gotten nowhere.

Make sure you have the latest ver of AnyDVD... AnyDVD is being updated as new dvd's are released ver 5.6.1.1 is the latest ver...
Anydvd + DVD Shrink should work fine

Try this method as it worked for me and preserved the whole disc.
Here is what I used to do this.
1.I had AnyDVD running in the background.
2.I used FabDecrypter to make audio and video folders.
3.I used ClondeDvd 2 and opened the video folder made by Fabdecrypter.
4. I let CloneDVD do it's thing and presto a Successful backup with menus and special features.
5.Locate the newly made Iso done by CloneDVD and....lastly
6.If file is too big then now you can use Shrink without worrying about the "Not enough Memory" issue.
Hope this helps because I know this movie is a pain in the A*s

Man guys, all you have to do is let anydvd run in the back ground while using dvd shrink. If you installed anydvd the way it's supossed to be installed, then you have to do nothing. Just pop-in your movie, (for example sky high) the anydvd fox will light up for a second or two, then it will go back to normal. Now just open dvd shrink back up the whole contents of the movie and sit back and let dvd shrink do it's thing. I did it this way and got a beautiful full back up of sky high. Good luck guys.

Yeah alot of people have tried that and have received errors such as "NOT ENOUGH MEMORY" so this method is an alternate with the same results in that you will get the whole disc and not just the movie.

Well for the "NOT ENOUGH MEMORY" message they get, maybe they have to many things running in the back ground or they have no more space in there pc's do to too many things stored in there pc's. Just my thoughts. But then again I could be wrong.

No it's not that Cash because I redid my comp and still nothing. When using shrink to do this movie the buffer would just keep going higher and higher and eventually that's when the error message came out.I don't think shrink can handle this movie as shrink is outdated.I'm glad I was successful in backing up the whole disc thanks to CloneDVD 2.

Well then I don't know poolpro. But I did it that way and it worked. But then again I was forgetting we don't all have the same the computer right. I mean we all don't have the same memory ram, the same amount of speed and things like that. Sorry didn't think of it that way.

@Poolpro,
I beg to differ with you, Shrink is NOT outdated it?s just not Updated anymore.
It will still handle 99% of the movies out there. For the 1% that it can?t handle, simple turn on AnyDVD in the background and it cuts thru them like a hot knife through butter.
All computers are not created equal and what works for everyone else may not work for you. There are always alternate methods, that is; ?More than one way to skin a cat.? LOL

I get what you guys are saying it's just that I think Sky High had some sort of memory scrambler because I got that message that alot of people were getting which was "Not Enough Memory". My comp has plenty of Ram (2gigs) worth.

An "Out of Memory" error in Shrink can be caused by certain protection on a movie that Shrink cannot handle. Either try ripping it with DVDFab Decrypter or use 21 day free trial of AnyDVD.

Thank you Arniebear, alot of people think that shrink is not the problem but it is.If shrink was updated more often this issue would never even be discussed. It's just too bad that won't happen anymore for shrink.Clonedvd2 is my new favorite little program because it handled Sky High with ease.

Shrink is a good program and I still use it occasionally but it is also a resource hog. I would rather use Nero Recode or Clone because the are less intensive. I have a P4 3.4 processor with 2g's of Ram. Just did an old black and white movie using Shrink last night and watched in the Task Mgr and Shrink used 100% of the processor and watched as it goobled up 55% of my memory.

I hear you arnie, that is one of Shrink's downfall.I mean I too have used shrink for quite awhile now but after using shrink for some time it will slow down your computer drastically. I like clonedvd2 and Nero of course.i just wish shrink would still get updated from time to time to handle these newer movies.

Shrink is an Excellent Program but, a memory hog and if you have problems with it, Use something else?.. It?s not related to Shrink.
I don?t have 2GB of memory, only 1GB but, I use Shrink for everything I copy with no problem what-so-ever..
It?s easy to blame to proggys for the shortcomings of the computer, but think about it, if almost everybody else can use it with no problems????
Use what works for you, in your situation and don?t try to shift the blame?.
I Use only AnyDVD/Shrink/Nero, burnt to a Verbatim 16x and have not had a coster in so long it scares me?

I'm aware that DVD Shrink is a resource hog but it is still my go to prog. I also never denied that DVD Shrink was the problem, but when used with the correct progs, it can still do 99% of the movies out there (even the new ones).
Can't we all just get along. lol

Lol, LOCO don't get me wrong I love shrink it's just I tried every method as posted and didn't find any results with shrink and AnyDVD so I decided to go the Clonedvd2 way and go what I was looking for.
