I've been ripping using decrypter for quite some time. I'm kind of lost when using AnyDvd since it's just a TSR that sits there. I'm just a little confused. Can I use AnyDVD with my favorite burning program DVDShrink? Or will DVDClone let me re-author and take out EVERYTHING except the audio track and main movie title? I'm about to spend the money on the complete Slysoft package, but if I don't need DvdClone...and can use DVD Shrink with Any DVD then I will just use that. It's all a little over whelming since it's a quick, hard change and from reading and reading I'm just getting a little more confused I guess. Able to absorb and comprehend really well...this one just isn't sinking in properly. Must be the TSR thing...that it just sits there...that confuses me maybe. Thanks!
Basically CloneDVD is the equal to VobBlanker + DVD Shrink. Both of those are free, so CloneDVD is not needed, but nice.
The main difference is that CloneDVD is rather simple to use and works in wizard fashion.
DVD Shrink has an advantage where you can compress the hell out of extra features to save space for the movie.
VobBlanker can blank out (remove) extra features, FBI Warnings, Previews, intros, credits, etc... basically anything on a DVD.
You should still rip to the Hard Drive first, so I would use DVD Decrypter for ripping. Then process the movie with VobBlanker to get rid of whatever you do not want and if necessary, compress with DVD Shrink.
The advantage of CloneDVD and AnyDVD is that this can all be done in 1 step. So your decision should be based on whether it is worth the money to save 2 steps in the ripping and burning process (anywhere from 5 seconds to 15 minutes or so).
