I was unable to use Shrink so I downloaded Anydvd - The download does not do anything so I download CloneDVD - it works fine, but will not let me buurn with -R only +R -- in additon the burnt disk will work on my new computer and old DVD player (about 5 yrs old), but will not play on brand new tv/dvd combo player?
In addition after the 21 day trail period is it safe to send $ for the cloneDVD and is it nessesary to buy AnyDVD as well? - thanks

Anydvd is a background driver you will see it in the tray down in the right corner looks like a fox. This program removes all modern copy protection. You need this program as the new movies are starting to use special anti copy programs. Im as cheap as the next guy and I didnt want to buy it either but you have to have it (anydvd). As for the burning only the +r disks is your burner a +R only? Your brand new dvd combo may not play burned disks.

CloneDVD 2 cares not which DVD format(-,+) you use. Your burner certianly does though......

I put in a copied DVD R+ into my new tv/ dvd combo and it worked fine?
Is it worth it to buy Clone DVD?
Also when I pull up AnyDVD it just has some stuff listed and appears that I have to do nothing - does it just run in the background with clone and if so will I have to order / pay for both?
Thanks in advance

Yes, Yes and Yes... although you may used about any other rippers/shrinkers/burners that you may already have. IMO, AnyDVD is essential to hassle free backups.
