Has anybody ever ordered anything from Consolesource.com i bought this DMSEZIpro awile back but i still havent recived it. Think might have been scamed? Its been quite awhile so this sucks. There supposed to be an authorized dealer, found them on the DMS web-site.I called'em up this week and they gave me this bullsh** about how everyones backorderd.
Think i should settle for the Lite, or wait alittle while longer for the Pro?
Thanx,
Silo

I think you should wait for the pro and pay a pro to install it. DMS EZI chips are anything but. Tons of people have butchered their PS2 during the installation. The chip works best when soldered in anyway, which defeats the purpose of getting a solderless chip altogether! Do not attempt to install it unless you're experienced in such matters. Save yourself a dead PS2 and send it to a pro. Check the Modchip FAQ in my sig for more info.

If you have the means to get the standard solderable version I would for sure go that wrought. The EZI is garbage.

I've ordered from ConsoleSource.com before. Although it was about 3 or 4 years ago when I modded my xbox, I received items from them in a timely manner. Since then i've modded 3 more xbox's and ordered everything from them and they've always come through. I suggest you email them or call and see what the hold up is. I've found them to be very reputable though, also they ship form Canada so that could be another reason for the hold up.

Yeah definitely go with the solder chip. From your post I thought you said you had already ordered the EZI chip. They're overpriced garbage. The DMS 4 Pro SE does the same thing for $30 less and is reliable. The $30 you save there will cover installation fees from a pro anyway.

I wanted to just buy a premodd instead of buying the PS2 having it delivered then buying a chip, having it delivered then sending it all off to a pro to install it and have them send it back.....I would just rather buy a premodd.
I don't want to spend $300+ for it though and I wanted to buy from something that will come through. I just want the PS2 v14 (slim) w/ a DMS 4 Pro SE.
I was going to order from XMODD because at the time I was going to get the DMS 4 SE Lite but when I tried to get in contact with them about how long it'll take, etc. via IM yesterday no one ever contacted me back and that console was going to be $290 total.
Then I read here about Team Modders and gave them a shot, i'm awaiting their PayPal invoice so I can pay and they say it takes 5 days. Can someone please share their experience with Team Modders, i've read a little bit but I wanted maybe a little more in-depth review on them because I hand over $265.
I"ll be getting the DMS 4 Pro SE and New PS2 v14.

I just got a new DMS 4 Pro SE. Davbere modded my v.4 PS2 with a Matrix Infinity. He does great work. I purchased a v.9 with a DMS 4 Pro SE from a friend of mine, Davbere did the original job. He does fantastic work. In fact I was having some issues with the laser and he guided me through cleaning it and repositioning it and it's working great now. The friend I bought it from has a couple little kids, so you can imagine what they can do to a PS2. Business is booming for teammodders.com, that's because they're reputable, honest, and do quality work. Don't just take my word for it, look around PS2scene.org, dms3.com forums, and any other sites Davbere's on and see what people say about him.

I went with XMODDS for my PS2, I would've went with Davbere but it was taking too long for me to hear from him. He last contacted me alst night but nothing all day, I think he was probably busy with other orders trying to get them out. I looked through your trusted sites and xmodds.com was one so I went with them. $260 flat for a V14 DMS 4 Pro SE and that included shipping. They told me it would go out Thursday but it may go out tomorrow, just contact them via email or AIM for an update.

Yeah xmodds does good work. Teammodders is real busy, I can understand you not wanting to wait. When it comes to modchips, I don't like to wait either. Good luck and enjoy your DMS 4.

yeah I would agree go to ps2-scene.org and you will find many reputable modders but no mention of teammodders, but you will find davebere as well as many "other" great installers.

Hey everyone, you want to see artwork? Check out either David Berens or spedmetal at www.norcalmods.com . I've done business with both and these guys are true artists. Examine how these 2 artists install a modchip and then investigate how others do it. You will see how these guys belong in a very select club of their own.

DAMN nice job there, I must say!
Dave had just gotten back to me today about the premod, I already paid XMODDS though so i'll have to let Dave do my next one.
I hear good things about them both though so i'm sure either one is a very good choice. Not to mention XMODDS is getting mine out tomorrow and is overnighting it so i'll get it on Friday.

Yeah Dave's the best in my opinion. There are several others who do quality work, Xmodds included.

You chose well going with Xmodds. The admin and I are friends and he is a very good guy. Other places sell refurbished junk salvaged from eBay's grave yard.
Props to Xmodds!

I visited normcalmods today looking at the gallery at the things you've done. They look very professional. I was basically trying to find someone that did it for under $300 but was reputable and did a good job.
I'm an XBOX guy myself so I modded my own xbox, I burnt 1 in the process, but I successfully modded 4. I'm just new to the PS2's so I didn't want to take that chance.
When I visited normcalmods prior to choosing XMODDS I didn't see any premod's and that was before I starting visiting the various forums.

Yeah I dont currently sell pre-mods. Xmodds has a great price on pre-modded slims. We did sell pre-mods back when the V9/10 was still on the selves but haven't since the slims appeared.

Okay here's a challenge. Look at the two photos directly above this post. Everyone knows Dave Berens is one of the best. Spedmetal (norcalmods) should also be included in that select club of "artistic modders". These are the modders who we all strive to impersonate. Who else (provide website or photo) is of the same caliber? Who is in that small select few whose mods are freaking amazing? I believe Netmech of ps2-scene.org is also a member of this select few but I couldn't find a photo at the time of this post but I remember being blown away by his mods. Who else is the best of the best (artistically)? I'm going to acquire and post this list in the future.
