Good catch!! That only proves my point in saying that Sony and MS have no creativity. Maybe in the games they make but not so much for MS ( their games are redundant ). Don't get me wrong, Sony can make excellent games, but that's as far as it goes for creativity.

but what do you think its better have creativity in games or consoles? the console usually doesnt able have enough creativity to last the test of time but there are hundereds of opportunities for games to bring something new to the map. Nintendo is innvoative with its new console but its games are still the same thats why they never attract new fans. Its all zelda,mario,metroid prime and etc which dont get me wrong are great and amazing games. But its either you like it or you dont theres no new attraction. I mean when marketing their console its like do you want to play the same old games a new way then get the wii. MS and sony can say do you want to play a new flashy console with the same old idea but play the classic games you've come to know and love... also you can play some new innovative games with brand new ideas and concepts...

i know dngl i loved keyword lovED marioand at e3 i was hoping nintendo would show some new things but what do i get mario, mario, and mario. i mean nintendo has gotten to the point where they have mario ddr wtf? the last good mario game i played was luigis mansion i was an addict

im sticking to what i like, and its good for me. i dont wanna earn it too quick.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

what the hell are you talking about playsation products always last alot longer than the competition.
just look at the psx ,n-64 and the other sega saturn or what ever console was competing died way before the psx did ,come on just a couple of months ago we learned sony just stopped making the original psx ,after more then 10 years and the psx was still selling hot.
now with the ps2 (in my book the best system ever created in gaming history ,
for 1 ,it killed sega dreamcast ,destroyed the 20 year old video game icon nintendo and microsoft didnt do nothing to the ps2) 100+ vs. 20-15.
look at the sales in Europe PSP-PS2 the top sellers ,USA again PSP-PS2 top sellers ,even the ps2 stills sells more than xbox 360 in USA ,Japan(nintendo fanboy land) if it wasnt for the n-ds, whos second ? whos third ?? PSP-PS2 !!
if the PS3 can follow what the psx-ps2 did ,then theres no battle PS3 will destroy the competition and maybe even kill nintendo.

just the name ''playstation'' alone sells the system ,everybody i know from school,work,friends,family owns a playsation 2 ,here in america nobody cares about nintendo ,except for the gameboy ofocurse.
and im sure about 90% of the people i know didnt buy the ps2 at launch they all wait for the system to drop in price to say 250$ and get greatest hits tittles or something then they buy it.
the PS3 for the name alone has no chance in hell of losing any ground anytime soon. just when the PS3 is realesed its going to be beautifull to see this sales in the most powerfull and the biggest gaming market in the world USA.
top sales in USA for the month of november.
1.Sony PS3.
2.Sony PSP.
3.Sony PS2.

mudearies You got your facts way twisted.The psx has been dead for quit sometime.They haven't sold anything anytime lately.Just look at the sales charts for systems, they're nowhere on the list.
N64 lasted just as long as psx.Sega saturn was doomed upon release.Ps2 didn't do jack to dreamcast,sega went bankrupt practically and had to halt everything.In fact dreamcast was out selling ps2.
I Think ps2 was a great system but not the best.Nes,super nes,and genesis paved the way for sony.Give them some credit.
None of these systems will last 10 yrs now that ms is hear.5 is about it before the next one comes out these days.I'm not saying people won't play there old consoles or anything.But most won't want to play something old when something newer and better is out.

the psx wasnt dead you could go to any retail and you still see the psx on sale with psx games ,now i didnt see the n-64 there.
if sony just stopped making the system a couple of motnsh ago then say in 2005 the system was still selling hot.
same is going on in this generation the ps2 stills selling like hot cakes. and people in america prefer the ps2 over the xbox 360.
the main factor is the games you can have a nextgen. system without hot games to back it up. no wonger the xbox 360 is being outsold in japan by 3 hand helds.
sega went bankrupt beacuase they coulnt compete againts the ps2.
like atari went bankrupt back in the day when they couldnt compete againts nintendo.
sony killed sega this generation and i say sony will kill nintendo this new genaration.

you said that Wii would be hard to develop for because of the controler. You dont know much about coding. Wii is easier to develop for and Ive read multiple interviews with companies developing for Wii and saying about how it is much less restrictive that current gen.

I would like to see Wii first PS3 second and 360 in a distant third but sadly with the price for the console and the games, that might not be happening. And if you dont have a PSP and you have a PS2, I suggest you get a DS. PSP mainly has dumbed down ports of PS2 games.
I want a PS3 mainly for Warhawk, guns of the patriots, re5, the new GTA, and the new gran turismo. Hopefully the price comes down soon enough so I will be able to get one.
EDIT: at dngle: yeah, I remember hearing something about a new Sony product. They arn't saying what it is but it will probably be revolutionary

Facts.. The PS3 has a Blu-ray drive (if Sony can get it to work). That makes it excellent value as long as the big film companies take up on the format.. Didn't happen with Betamax..Didn't happen with Minidisk..So just maybe it's another expensive Sony white elephant?
It looks like the mass media film publishers are going to go with HD-DVD, we'll have to wait and see..But if they do the PS3 and the Blu-ray dvd players are dead in the water.
The PS3 release date has been bumped back and back because of problems with the Blu-ray drive.. Sounds horribly familiar to somebody with a lot of experience with the PS2 dvd drive.
I'm not going to predict anything this early before release.. M$ are holding back a heap of quality games waiting on Sony, and the Blu-ray drive and console doesn't seem to be backwards compatable with PS2..
That was one of the biggest reasons the PS2 was such a success..2000+ PS1 games that you could play on it too..As a dvd player it's crap.

@ janrocks...yeah everyone keeps compairing bluray to beta max but it's not going to be the same this time around.Sony pictures has lots of sway and many other companies have jumped on board.
Ps3 doesn't rely on Blu-ray.I personally think ps3 is worth the price even without bluray especially after buying a 360 which I was already $500 with no games after the wifi adapter.
ps3 is backwards compatible.It will play dvd's just fine.

Don't take offence lol.Your one of the coolest people I met on ad.I just thought I would shed some light since I have so much knowledge on the subject.I do it to everyone here.
I got the 360 and love it and if folks want it go for it.It's been a great console.wii will be only $250 for the price concious consumer.So go for it.
ps3 will be huge.It may very well be the best selling console too just like the last 2 times.But in the end get what you want.Peace

Sony pictures?? Who?? not exactly Columbia-EMI (89% of all film releases worldwide..most bollywood film studios are affiliates) are they?..like Sony Music..an also-ran.
Anyway complaining about the price doesn't change the facts.. I haven't run out and bought a 360 and I won't panic about not having a PS3 either... It's a toy..and there are more important things in this world than which is the best toy.. I love my Saturn..great graphics and games.. Follow the herd..be one of the sheep.. It cuts no ice with me.
The best thing I saw last year was those guys who bought a 360 premium on release day and took a sledgehammer to it outside the shop..there were kids in the queue crying..That's keeping it real.
It really isn't important..all that will happen is some huge corporation will continue to get fat at our expense.. Give the money to famine relief and do something worthwhile. :-)
